He also wore pink shoes on Sunday, which weren't shown in that shot. I did notice that kinda goofy hat he wore on Sat. Thought that might become the new standard but he was back to the flat-bill by Sun.

I think the shoes he wore Sunday, were more Purple than pink ?

I guess Ted Bishop really doesn't like Poulter, here's the latest tweet from Ted

Quote:
Rickie Fowler - the legend is made. Only one over rated player left.......

Poulter responded

Quote:
Oh Ted Ted Ted..... I thought you learnt you lesson the last time. Obviously not.

I have a financial interest in a local golf store and was there today to pick up some clubs I had ordered.  While I was there (less than 1/2 hour) at least three people called in asking for Cobra golf bags and equipment.  Fowlers win yesterday is great for golf, Rickie and Cobra.

They were the same color as on his hat and shirt.  Maybe it looked more purple sitting next to the blue, but those shoes were pink.

That's the problem w/ twitter - a lot can be lost in those 140 characters......Ted Bishop's tweet may have been intended to be more facetious than trying to put down Poulter.

Ian Poulter needs to spend far less time on social media and should also refrain from dissing genuine English golfing heroes in his crappy, ghost-written autobiography (that would be Nick Faldo who, at the time of writing, has a 6 - 0 advantage over Ian Poulter in terms of majors won); in short, Ian Poulter, who, at the age of 39, having precisely the same number of PGA Tour wins (2) that Rickie Fowler has at age 26, should worry more about his golf game and less about sharing his opinions with the world at large. I'm not surprised that his peers regard him as over-rated.

The only thing I can't fathom about Poulter is why he is an Arsenal fan; I'd have thought that supporting Chelsea would suit him to a T.

Alright: from a Liverpudlian to a Chelsea fan (in peace). Congrats on the title (sincerely). I'd always rather your lot than Man U!

He might have but he has to be a little bitter about how Poulter cost him all the perks of being a former PGA President.  I think he was being a bit facetious but also throwing a dig at Poulter.

Why?  I don't disagree entirely but I'm curious what your reasons for it are.

    • No! Is a large part of the human population selfish, apathetic and cuts corners in the name of self-preservation 'more than they would like to admit', yes. Degenerate, scum, etc?.. no!! Most humans/men would not grope a woman like Phil is accused of doing (I think he absolutely did). That is scum. I mean what % of men do you think would do that? Seriously??
    • I don't think that is true at all. That is off-topic here, I think.
    • I entirely agree with everything you said, but would just note that normal human beings are a lot closer to degenerate and avaricious scum than many of us might be comfortable admitting/might realize.
    • That is a bit hyperbolic, I think. Most despicable is a bit much.  Again, a bit over the top here.  Most athletes are probably closer to being normal human beings than degenerates and avaricious scum.  Just sounds like you want to generalize all athletes because it is easy to do so. Hey, generalizing a subset of a population is entirely a human thing to do.
    • This is so awesome; my two biggest lifetime hero and the biggest superstars of the past 35 years in golf……both turned out to be the two of the most despicable human beings in professional sports… Between this and everyone whoring themselves out for Saudi Arabia… Used to love golf because I thought they were smarter, better people than the other sports. Turns out a huge percentage of them are total degenerates and avaricious scum like every other sport!
