Drive for show,Putt for dough.

In the PGA:

drive for dough,

putt for dough

scramble for dough

chip for dough

etc etc

(every stroke counts in the end)

This only applies to the PGA?

I can't believe espn are lauding Spieth more than Johnson.

Yes ,let's make another Tiger.

Jesus!!

Jordan is the bigger story and attention grabber.  ESPN only cares about viewers.

TNT/CBS are probably the most depressed about Spieth not getting the Open.  They would have had HUGE ratings for the Grand Slam.

I dunno, Zach is solid and it's his 2nd so I like that but goddamn, I was hoping for history today. Pretty disappointed. Love how JSpieth acquitted himself, no complaints there, just wistful...

First three words on a golf book I can think of… ("Golf is hard." Not "Um… you do". :D)

@iacas , I have the unabridged edition.

Zach's a great wind player, and that came in handy this week, particularly today.

Btw, I think Zach and Jordan put to bed all those idiots who said playing the John Deere the week before is a bad prep for the Open.

Not necessarily...  Maybe Jordan runs away with the Open if he came over the week before.

Johnson has played the old course before so he doesn't really apply here.

But at the same time, playing the week before in Illinois surely didn't hurt them in any way like many thought it would.

Except for that he had 37 putts the 2nd day. He might have been better served coming over and getting more use to the greens. He was really pissed off with his putting this week.

Good stuff today. Sad I missed most of it. Good for ZJ, definitely in a new category. I think Jordan should be very proud of his result. Of course you want the W, but my lord this is one absolutely remarkable year for him at the majors. I'm sure he will be right there in Kohler, WI. Really disappointed with DJ. Not sure I'm gonna be picking him in any of my pools/draft kings/etc anymore. Really don't think he has what it takes between the ears. Its just sad, because he really could have 3-5 majors by now.

    • I had a few tweeks in the bag. I took out my Mizuno pro FliHi 3 iron replaced it with a Titleist GT2 7 Wood. what a change that is, so easy to hit, it goes so high without it ballooning on me. I couldn't get rid of my callaway woods ( Rogue ST Max LS ) but changed the shafts to Diamana BB 63 stiff for the driver and 73 stiff for the 3 wood. Than i got myself a new putter Odyssey S2S jailbird yes i joined the centershaft family
    • First off all i think you should use the same ball all the time. We all strive for consistency on the course, the only factor you can be sure it will be always the same is your ball if you always use the same. So i think we should always use the same. I recently switched from Titleist Pro V1x to Srixon Z-Star Diamond because it i get a bit softer feel around the greens and same results on driver and irons
