Missed several par putts and one birdie putt which kept me from scoring lower, but over all not too shabby of an outing.

Really good long game, crappy wedge game.

Short game and approach games were not even passably mediocre, but good thing I was driving pretty well.

Twelve of my 18 tee shots went where I was aiming and only missed the fairway twice which made for a good drive day

    • Yeah, so… I think people can get better doing some of these things, but in general, I think the advancement of science has not been particularly kind to some of these "here's what Hogan did" or "here's how you 'hold the shaft lag' on your swing" or "here's why you should swing a 6° flat lie angle" or whatever type of guys. I also think — and I realize this is blasphemy — that Hogan was a good ball striker, for sure, but that there are probably fifty players capable of hitting it like Hogan today. Maybe more. And some of them are quite likely women.
    • Ok, the feel aint real thing then. I don't feel my hands much in the downswing. More so in transition because I am focusing on the arms stuff, but once the arms come down, I feel much more all turn and the club head just flings out at the ball. I don't actually think about swinging out at the ball, or flinging the club out at the ball. To me, how the clubhead comes through the ball feels very passive.
    • What is the minimum number of PGA Tour events a golfer must play each season? What is the minimum number of PGA Tour events a golfer must play each season? The minimum is pretty low. I believe that's fairly accurate.
    • Day 283, August 11, 2022 Snuck in five minutes of work today between packing. Left wrist curls, backslash swing.
    • I think that’s kind of undermined by the reasons that Tour Pros who won’t jump have given.   They don’t like where the money comes from, they want to chase records and history that is present on the tour.  They support the system that has given them a pretty fabulous lifestyle.  Look if LIV was something like the Match exhibitions several times a year I think it’d be different, but it’s not.   It’s also run by someone with a known vendetta against the Tour.     there’s also a numbers component.  If the argument is that players want an easier schedule and still maintain PGA Tour membership, then this would have been done differently.   But it wasn’t.  LIV had a schedule that would probably prevent pros who “want to spend time with their family” from keeping a PGA tour card or they would have to play even more.      sergio said it best.  He didn’t like a ruling and blatantly stated he was out of there.  so he was jumping tours, not co-mingling them.
