Range - I warmed up with my sandwedge.

For my practice I would hit 5 shots with my 6 iron. I would do two practice swings before each shot.  After my 5 shots, I would do my drill while recording.  I recorded a dlt shot and a front on shot.

I made sure to practice slow today and I think I made some progress today.

Outside swings over grass, no ball.  This time I was working on increasing speed like in LSW.  Pulling my left arm through faster.  Trying to keep relaxed.  Like a 100m sprinter, moving fast without tension.  Feeling the club release through the hitting zone.  Still had to keep my head still and hip slide/turn.  Load and then unload.  Felt pretty good, need to keep at it until it feels natural and not forced.

Spent an hour on the putting green, mostly 4' and 6' putts, some 8' and 12', using my new Edel putter. I missed a LOT more than I would with my previous putter. I suspect it's because I had compensations in my stroke for something that needs to get out of the system :-)

you have any more info about this drill?

You simply put a head cover or an extra ball just outside and slightly of the ball you intend to hit.  You may hit both balls or the cover a few times, but your brain seems to subconsciously correct this pretty quickly.  Although, I'm sure that it is possible to do this drill successfully with an out to in path it is very effective for getting my swing path to where it needs to be.

Sounds great. I need to work on eliminating an outside in path as well, appreciate it

This post is for yesterday - played 18 holes and chipped/putted before the round. Another crappy round that just felt a little off. Getting closer

Okay, I overdid it again with 300 balls on the range, but it was grass for a change. This was the first day in months that we got to hit on it. It felt sooooo good. Luckily, the large buckets were filling to the 90 ball mark and I only hit 3 and a half of them.

It's like eating chips, you can't stop eating them. . .that "poof" sound on a good strike in grass is blissfully satisfying. B-)

Did the closed face drill today, focusing on getting the right elbow in more on the downswing to help keep it from extending to early.
