I beg your pardon. You mean that thing (inverted ceramic driver) in my spare room you hit and then hollar..."in the hole". I agree.

I played them for many years before upgrading to the Callaway XR irons. I still have friends who use the G15 irons. I agree the look takes a little getting use to but they are a good club for those needing ease of launch.

Cleveland VAS irons

The VAS would get my vote.

Nike Sumo drivers. Ugly as anything and could make a man deaf after half a bucket of range balls.

Hey Wally Fairway . . . I think I need to change my vote. The VAS irons are the clear choice.

Holy hell, those things are ugly!

When I first saw the pic, I vomited in my mouth.

Corey Pavin won a US Open with those goofy things believe it or not.

The VAS 792 were my first set of irons as an adult.

They were all game improvement all the time. In fact, Roger Cleveland had to take out some GI features before they went to market.

Maybe the worst looking club, but clearly they performed. The Pro Version (I think there was a pro version) were used to win a US Open.

The Nike Sumo/SQ2 Drivers after the original SQ were the worst sounding driver ever -- scared people, could hear that driver a few holes away, and it was a loud, hollow trash can sound. It made everyone look.

One of the worst clubs, or Edsels ever, was the Callaway C4 driver -- the first composite driver -- did not perform.

Better watch your mouth, I have both the Sumo2 and Sumo2 5900 drivers, and the 5900 3-wood.

I hate all of them.

Absolutely. I had a buddy that played these. So glad I'm left handed and never was tempted to try them. Just awful.

How many balls can you hit with this ugly iron before screws start coming loose?

    • Just add new stats of speed of play to the tour. Average time to hit a shot Number of shots per round the player took more than 40 seconds to play a shot Number of times under the clock Numbers of warnings per round for slow play Number of penalty strokes per round for slow play  Number of times the player took a WC break. Time spend on the WC  Number of times the player don't know basic rules and have to call for a rules official  Walking average speed Time spend reading yardage books Time spend arguing with the caddie about hitting an impossible shot.  Average time looking for a ball beyond 3 minutes.  Average time looking for balls on the hazards despite been in the middle of the fairway An a lot more that can give the committee enough information to award penalties after a round, tournament or even a season. Imagine a ruling were a player is awarded to play all April with 1 shot penalty each round because of slow play in March, should be a shit show I would love to see.
    • I agree. I like the Mission Impossible movies. None of them are life changing or movies that I would put in any kind of a top ten list. But they are pretty much always keep me entertained.
    • Might be good. Part 1 was only okay.
