My problem is that if I have the time to swing the sticks at all, I'm playing. Never seem to make the time for practice.

I wish I had that "problem."  But for me, the time it takes to play is far greater than the time it takes to get in some meaningful practice, so practice will have to do. :)

Since I joined a GC in September, I have been playing once or twice a week, but I ending up practicing a lot more and spending time at the range. I never really thought to count the actual number of rounds, but I would say it a bit on the high side. I just wish my game actually reflected how much I really spend with a golf club in my hand. But that only provides for a goal for 2016.

Roughly 40 since April. I should be able to get a few more in before the end of the year.  I'm hoping to break 90 before the year is over.

And I'll get a few more in before it gets too cold.  Hopefully 4 or 5 more rounds.  Weather looks decent over the next 10 days here in No. VA

About 120'ish for me. We still have time to get more in though. Playing in a scramble tomorrow. Should be playing today but I had already set up a meeting at Noon so my day is shot. However, Sunday looks to be nice as well so maybe I will play 36?

Then, I have a tiny chance to catch up with you if we don't get too much rain here in CA.

As much as I hope it rains like crazy this winter, I just hope it will hold off long enough for me to break 90!  We're starting to get more rain up here in the north bay.

You get automatic 3 strokes off when you play through the rain.  3 more off if wind reaches up to 20 MPH.   It's in the golf rule book of RiCK, rule number 17.7, and 17.8.    :-D

I just completed my full 5th year - managed 92 rounds ytd.    I'm fortunate that my job has flex hours & I can play after work often (probably half of these are 9 hole rounds though).   Funny how I seem to be approaching my practical limit - playing consistently, but not really improving anymore.   Maybe that's fairly typical, dunno.

I can play year-round, so I've still got a little over 3 weeks or so to post scores. To date I've played 227 rounds, but 5 or 6 are not postable scores (scrambles, etc.). Assuming that the rain won't be too bad, I should be able to get in another 18 to 20 rounds by the end of the year. I am retired, and my wife still works full-time, so I'm not exactly your average golfer. A buddy of mine will likely finish the year with close to 300 rounds...now there's a diehard. LOL.

I have 118 rounds posted to GHIN for 2015.  That number is down about 40% from 2 years ago (196 rounds that year) and about 15% from last year.  Just have not had time to play and working in a location out of town that had pretty much no where to play closeby.  I did play in probably 15 tournaments that are not handicap eligible (scrambles and other wierd formats).  I should get in about 5 more rounds before end of year.

Many rounds at 3-6 per week. Started the year off with only 1-2 per week, then went to 5-7 per week for a while. Settled on 3 per week and 4 if I happen to have time away from the kids and family. 78 scored rounds to my listed HC, about 180 practice rounds (1/4 of them 9 hole rounds, 1/4 of them 12 to 15 holes, 1/4 18 holes, 1/4 played on a hybrid of two different courses to get maximum holes in per round 18 to 30 holes played). At this point, my practice rounds and scored rounds are nearly the same scores, unless I am trying different stuff on the course.

Ok, I dug into my spreadsheet and confirmed that I played 134 rounds as of 12/7.    I expect to play 6 more round until 12/31/15.   That puts me on pace for 140 rounds played this year.   The number will likely go higher next year, my 1st year in retirement.

I played roughly 150 rounds this year in my first full season. Hopefully I can do it again next year.
