So, it's been a while since we've had an outing. I think we should plan on having one sometime around the end of February. I'll suggest the 20 or 21, but I'm wide open in February, so I'll let you guys decide.

Tagging @mvmac, @Golfingdad, @Big C, @Lihu, @Bechambo, @Pakoh, @GolfSwine, @No Mulligans

If you guys can think of anybody that I left off (and I'm sure that I did) please tag them as well.

Just off the top of my head, I know that you forgot @Shindig and @bmartin461 ... and I'm sure there are others that I'm forgetting as well.  I'm thinking @Beachcomber has retired from golf at this point, but I'll throw him in here as well just in case he makes a revival.

You know me, I kind of have to commit a little later than most but for now, I like the idea of late February or thereabouts.

We should stick to the formula of locking down a date first before we figure out a location, seems to make things a little easier. :)

You might add a few more of the So. Cal. people we have here. I noticed that quite a few signed up recently. . .

I certainly appreciate the invite, but not sure either of my kids can go either so I'm likely out. Possibly in 5 years?

Are you only allowed to play with them?

I'm out of town Feb 20-21 but the following weekend (27-28) works.

It's also the weekend of the L.A. Open, which I suspect several of us will be attending.  My volunteer application got accepted, so I'm definitely going to be there.

Following weekend (27-28) works for me also.

In general, if they have time I make time to be with them. That's part of being a dad, I guess. It's enough for me that I can usually squeeze in 9 hole rounds into my schedule when they are busy anyway.

18 hole away rounds are usually played with them because it's such a big time commitment. It's the time more than anything else.

I try to spend whatever time I have with them because they are leaving for college in 2 and 4 years. I'd like them to think that golf takes a back burner to them. :-)

26th is the wife's birthday and the 28th is mine so that will be a busy weekend with family commitments more than likely.

I propose March 5/6?

Currently I'm available every weekend.  Subject to change, my wife and I do have a ski trip and golf trip in February but we haven't picked the dates.

March 5/6 works for me too, and I've blocked it off.  I have a marginal preference for March 6, but I can make March 5 work too.

We could play this one out towards me... price might be a bit high though as long as that's ok with everybody. Probably in the $80-$100 range.

Drew and I got a chance to play Eagle Falls with Dave last week. I wouldn't mind playing there again.

    • Attempting to lift. Any better?
    • Day 82: mirror work again tonight. Working on the same shoulder down and roll and twist stuff. Going on vacation tomorrow and putting the clubs down, so new streak starts in about 10 days!
    • Day 44, June 17.  Today was some preliminary stretching, exploring what I'll want to set up as a regular routine (both while on vacation without clubs and when I'm back) (aside: this is part of an upcoming goal to stretch daily in a meaningful way, but I don't plan to count it as practice on days that I can meaningfully practice with a club)
    • Having a rough week. Went to the Dr. because I was really weak and could hardly swing my driver.  I take Propranolol 20 mg tablets twice a day. Seems like the Propranolol was driving my pulse down (low 50's).  So we cut the dosage in half and I started taking my blood pressure. It was a little high but pulse came up.   Then yesterday I raised it to 15 mg tab by taking it 3 times a day. Blood pressure 127 / 77 Pulse 75.  Heading out tomorrow morning for 18 holes.    I have my driver set at 10.5* but seem to have my swing speed to low and I can't get the lift on the ball I need.  I have not played this week in hopes I will have the strength to raise my swing speed. I may have to raise my loft to 12* . (I will take my driver wrench) tomorrow. (This Parkinson's is a pain in the butt.)  Will give you a report when I get back.    Retired Old Man, Terry
