I cant figure out how to award my badges, If I hover / click  the mouse over eg, broke par it does'nt open any links , only if I click on the amount of people awarded.

Tried on ipad too .

I am in the same boat. I have went to the award section but can not add any awards to it. Any help would be great!

I think i have messed something up. I lost the break 90 award.

I'm not sure what the two of you were doing.

You can only give yourself a few of the awards. The 30-day one and the 5-minute daily one. The rest I have to give you.

The LSW badge appears in the database and is still associated with you, and when I try to award it to you, it tells me you already have it. So, yes, something has been borked.

P.S. Update 15 minutes later: fixed it. You found a way to "hide" it from your profile, which is in the members database table, not the awards table.

Not to jinx you but it appears you've broken through a barrier.  Good work!

Welp, it has been a while since I have been on here. Some personal achievements that won't be recognized but worth mentioning are, being a member at a country club for the first time and breaking 90 for the first time (both at beginning of may) and now sitting at a sub 20 handicap so I am feeling great and ready to break even more and see if I can get that eagle or ride the birdie train along the way!

I purchased and read and finished Lowest Score Wins.

I am now going back through it a 2nd time to start putting some things together.

A lot of helpful points and reasoning.

So, may I have a LSW badge, icon, or avatar?

Thanks,

I made my first ever eagle in a tournament today! Two solid shots on the par-5 left about fifty yards, and I hit a bump-and-run 8I onto the green, and it just happened to roll in the hole. Fun game!

    • Bryson got hit with a 2 shot penalty, after the round, for improving his lie on hole 5.  Here is a post on X, showing how he stepped on high grass when he was looking down his target line.  When they cut to the side shot, you can see how close he was behind the ball.  I think the R&A probably made the correct decision. You just have to be really careful when you are walking in the high grass, around the ball and where you are to make a swing.

    • Day 27 (17 July 26) - Normally an 18 hole day, but due to commitments abbreviated the round to 9 holes (played the back nine at home course).  Had a solid session where even the worst miss (tee shot off 18) was fully playable.  Shot a solid 39 (6pars, 3bogies) - not dbls, no three putts - just boring golf.
    • Overall, well said. People have to be very careful in trying to describe very complex problem in simple terms. In this case, it is a clear fundamental misunderstanding of Newton's 1st and 3rd laws.  To clarify more on the misinterpretation of Newton's 1st law. The exact interpretation of Newton's 1st Law....  "Every body continues in its state of rest, or of uniform motion in a straight line, unless it is compelled to change that state by forces impressed upon it" yea, a body will stay motionless unless a force acts upon it. An object will stay on its path of motion unless a force acts upon it.  I get it, complex physics problems are difficult. There is a lot of simplification done in most physics class when it is taught. A classic problem uses a frictionless surface. Projectile motion excludes drag and wind direction. Collisions are usually elastic. The golf swing is not a simple physics problem.  Yea, I think they got caught up the data on the graphs and are not truly understanding cause and effect.  If the golfer isn't first pushing into the ground, then the ground isn't going to push back.  The internal forces of the body create the motion, not the external forces from the ground. The ground isn't like what Psy uses to start his concert. 🤣 You probably need to be connected to the ground and have those GRF to help the body produce the motion you want. Your body has to move in the right way to produce the GRF which helps you move the body in the way you want. Body motion precedes the GRF.
