A wall around a residential property is a poor comparison to a border wall.  The former is meant for privacy and to keep bad people out.  The other is meant to control the flow of not just people but illicit goods.  Bad people have a financial motivation to break into the Clinton's estate, but it's not such a motivator that they won't just move on to lower hanging fruit (properties with smaller walls or no walls at all.)

In the case of border walls, however, there is no other "low hanging fruit" and so the bad people become much more creative.  If they are trying to get drugs over the border, they literally launch it with air guns and catapult-like devices.  (Seriously, this was on the news.)  To get drugs and people across, they have also built tunnels with electric lights, rails, and ventilation.  These tunnels aren't just from one side of the wall to the other; they span miles.  So how deep will the wall be?

So yes, while a larger border wall might slow the flow of illegal immigration, it will not stop drugs and determined people from coming over.

Oh yeah, I keep forgetting this point:  Walls around properties completely encompass the property, otherwise what's the point?  The border wall won't completely encompass the entire US -- it wouldn't even be completely contiguous from one coast to the other;  so what will stop people from just going around it?

A wall will not stop a cartel from shipping drugs into a Florida port or flying into an illegal landing strip in the desert. They can and do tunnel under walls or just go over them.

Walls are ineffective!!!

All this talk of a "wall" probably means we need to revisit :

Trump's wall is nothing more than a campaign slogan to rile up his rallies. As much about playing on terrorism fears as illegal immigration.

Why should they do that. Trump doesn't. :-D

What a great video.  It reads like every bloated government program in existence.  I think he could do one video like this every day for years and years.

I suspect you have to ignore a lot as a Trump supporter. Especially those coming in late in the game during the party unity phase. But it's little things like being okay that he really isn't a republican, writing off his past democratic soirees and his complete lack of basic GOP tenets. But at least he's not Hillary!

Trump is certainly more bloated than most politicians. He should probably cut back on the Big Macs and taco bowls.

Really, fat jokes, that's the level HRC supporters are reduced to at this point?

How is it that all of you Hillary supporters are willing to look the other way regarding all her FBI investigations and the general fact that if she weren't HRC, she'd likely be in jail already?  I'm not just talking about Benghazi or her e-mail server but her and Bill's foundation as well or the allegations she threatened women if they reported Bill's sexual assaults while he was POTUS.  You realize that it's Obama's people that initiated the investigation on her foundation, not the GOP.

Have you all buried your head in the sand or do you just take her claims at face value that all these investigations are just dirty tactics by the GOP to discredit her?

Trump is not without his legal troubles.  In addition to Trump University being in court for fraudulent business practices, USA Today released a story showing that Trump has been involved on one side or the other of 3500 lawsuits (http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/elections/2016/06/01/donald-trump-lawsuits-legal-battles/84995854/)

In terms of head-burying, there's a lot of that going on in this election cycle from both sides.  While HRC supports are reduced to fat jokes, the Republican nominee mocks a man with a disability.

Looks like this election is going to come  down to the "Never Trump" versus the "Never Hillary".  None of us will be voting for a candidate, our votes will be cast to ensure the other candidate doesn't win.

I'm not sure this country can survive 20 years of horrible leadership.

Bernie's socialistic tendencies scare me, but as a person he doesn't seem morally corrupt which makes him more palatable to me than HRC.

And that's reasonable. The thing everyone forgets about Bernie is that of all the things he says he wants to do, he'll get 1 maybe 2 of them done, unless congress got flipped and became a democrat majority. The thing that kills me about most of the anti-Bernie crowd is their "he's going to give my money away" rhetoric. All of the people I know complaining would not pay any more in taxes, but for some reason think they would be.

    • Day 316 - More swings, full backswing and full finish.
    • Day 132: did some mirror work while watching TV. Worked on backswing stuff primarily.
    • 26 Nov 24 -  It was not a record breaking round by any means, but rather a simple walking of the back nine today playing TBWB (two ball-worse ball) where the challenge is to play the worse of the two shots played - could be an errant drive from the woods, a tree knocked ball that is 100 yds farther back down the fairway, a nGIR ball as opposed to a GIR….the goal today was to stay no worse than bogie thru nine.  Managed to achieve that goal - bogied 7 holes with one dbl and one par to counter the dbl.  It’s about staying focused and not letting a bad shot or lie derail, but rather be an opportunity.
    • Day 208 (26 Nov 24)- Opted to walk 9 today (was the back nine as they had a huge group going off the front) but instead of it being persimmons and blades, I had the regular gamers but made it a TBWB (two ball-worst ball) round.  This really challenges on several fronts - ball striking to be as consistent as possible, course management from non-optimal lies and keeping your head in it as it can be depressing to nail a shot on line-on target and the second rattles the trees right and it’s over 50 yards back and that’s the one you have to play.  The goal was to be no worse than bogie overall (+9).  Finished the round exactly on the number with some solid recoveries, no penalty strokes and only one 3-putt.
