He was half a roll away.

That's two that he just missed, heck of a try.

There was a two-shot swing on 17 yesterday; Phil needs to return the favor now.

In my UnderArmour Links stand bag...

Driver: '07 Burner 9.5° (stiff graphite shaft)
Woods: SasQuatch 17° 4-Wood (stiff graphite shaft)
Hybrid: 4DX Ironwood 20° (stiff graphite shaft)Irons/Wedges: Apex Edge 3-PW, GW, SW (stiff shaft); Carnoustie 60° LWPutter: Rossa AGSI+ Corzina...

Game.  Welp, Stenson just locked up his spot in The Open for 19 more years

Callaway XR 9.5 + 1, Taylormade R15 3 Wood, Burner 3 Rescue, Callaway XHot 5H, Warbird 4H, Nike Vapor Fly 6-AW Irons, Titleist Vokey 54, 60 Wedges, Taylormade Rossa Fontana Putter, Srixon Z-Star Tour Yellow.

Best Score 2017:  82 (Traditions at the Glen, Par 70)

Favorite Course - Conklin Players Club (Par 72) - Best Score 86

And I thought Phil was going to gain some ground on this hole.

I hate when announcers say that.  "I don't think he has what it takes to win a major" or didn't think anyway... C'mon guys like Todd Hamilton, Ben Curtis, Shaun Micheel and Rich Beem have major wins on their resume...

Yep.  For that matter, every major (both men's and women's) has someone who won it on his or her first time playing in it.  I think all you need to do to win a major is to have the lowest score when the tournament is over.

Remember the tournament where he stripped to his underwear?

I think if 4 hours ago someone was to tell you Phil would be 6 under on his round at the 17th tee you'd think his name would be halfway engraved on the jug

It was a little over ten years ago when we all thought Phil's name would be preemptively put on a trophy at a major ... :-(

Huh, Van de Velve is going to play Carnoustie again.  That will be fun to watch.

Stenson holes this putt and he's on 62 watch.

I was about to bring this up. Somehow, that's been lost in the commotion.

Phil refuses to die yet; Henrik can finish him off with this putt.

So if Stenson can finish this off, this will be 2 in a row where "the best player never to win a major" snatched one. I guess Rickie or Branden Grace are primed for Baltusrol.

Whoa, that was close.  Almost in the bunker on #18.

Branden Grace? Are you just checking to see if we are paying attention?;-)

Announcers are saying Stenson hit his 3 wood 310 yards.  Yikes.  I think my career 3-wood is 210.

Sergio is way ahead of those two (considering more than OWGR).

I think he just looked at OWGR.
