I'm with you...I hope he plays well. I always watching golf so much more when Tiger was in the field and in the hunt.

I think those are reasonable goals. I may be overly optimistic (and yes I'm aware of his previous return showing), but I feel like he's really taken his time to ensure he's ready. If anyone knows what it takes to compete at the Tour level it would be him. Yes, he will undoubtedly be mentally rusty as I think it's impossible to reproduce the stress and/or competitive conditions associated with tournament play without being in the situation, but as far as his game goes, I am cautiously optimistic.

Really?  The best you have to hope for/bet on is that he'll actually make it to the first tee in an 18 man event?

You want a bet?  Let's bet on whether he finishes in the top half.  Surely the "GOAT" can do that in an 18 man field.

$20....American.  :-)

He better be ready to go with all that time off he took. Don't want to hear him complain about "process" anymore. Im not saying go out and win 3-4 times a year but at least be a top 15-20 player. Thats what i expect from Tiger. 40 years old or not.

If he backs out again, then there is no hope for him...

Apparently he was ripping 300 yd carry drives on the trackman this week.

Nike getting out of the club business might be the best thing that could have ever happened for his comeback hopes. We can only imagine how much he would have won in his prime if he had been playing with decent equipment :-P

I say he'll play right around the cut line.  I can see him with a good long game, but by being out for a while now, I think the pressure will get to him, especially on those chyips ;-)

It's an 18-player event. There is no cut.

If you were being sarcastic, I missed it. :-)

    • 2/23/25 Musgrove Mill Oak tees 72.3/155 Joined this club this year, and have played several times this year. Yesterday, the greens were the first day open since aeration. I struggled to hold greens, and putted as one would expect on aerated greens. For the first time in a while, my tee game was off and only hit 6 fairways when I have been averaging around 70%. Only 15 holes were open as they repair three holes damaged by Hurricane Helene.    Game continues to decline and handicap continues to increase!

    • I am in the market for a Reeso Putter, preferably VTX.  Anyone has one they want to sell?  How does the Reeso compare to a L.A.B. putter? Thank you.
    • I'd just get the Stack Radar. I've never been totally comfortable with how it measures, those things. I think people put them in the wrong place. I think it's highly sensitive to where you swing… if you swing the tip end through the radar "beam" (it's not a beam, but you know what I mean I think), you get the true speed. But if you swing the spot 6" up the shaft through the beam, you get a much slower speed. For the wedge stuff alone I recommend the Stack Radar. Plus data entry is SOOO easy.
    • Does anyone else have the swing speed radar and had the experience of it going completely haywire? It’s been decent for me until the last 2 weeks. I’m now getting readings on back to back swings that are 20 mph off. I’m getting absolute garbage from it - I have to swing many times to get something close to right. The only thing that works (sometimes) is taking the batteries out. Here's the radar I'm talking about: Amazon.com : Swing Speed Radar - Achieve Longer Drives - Delivers Precise Golf Club Swing Speeds from 20 to 200 MPH. Master Consistency with Our US Made Doppler Radar Training Tool for Instant Speed Results : Golf Swing Trainers : Sports & Outdoors Thinking about just biting the bullet on a stack radar at this point.
