I am a Tour Edge guy, with a couple of bargain bin Top Flite irons thrown in.

I think all the major brands have quality stuff, so for me it just boils down to the price, and service after the sale.

In My Bag:
A whole bunch of Tour Edge golf stuff......

What I could guarantee:  If you did double blind studies with every brand's clubs, it would be a big crapshoot on what club you hit the best.

Mostly TM brand club heads with various fit shafts, in the bag.

Hybrids Taylor Made

Irons Callaway Steelhead XR

Putter Callaway Two Ball

Ball Callaway Super Soft Yellow.

Before putting this on the list I really did not realize that I had more Callaway than anything else.

I don;t have any brand I like better that another. I play what looks good and plays the best when I am looking for a new club or clubs.

Right now:Driver PING

Driver: Taylormade

Woods: Cobra

Hybrid: Tour Edge

Irons: Srixon

Wedges: Titleist

Ball: Bridgestone

With irons a very close second were Titleist (716 CB) and Cobra FlyZ+.  For the ball I also could have gone with the Srixon Z-Star XV, too, but the Bridgestone just edged it.

Driver: Cobra FlyZ | 9.5 Degrees Draw | Fujikura Pro 63 Tour Spec
Fairway Wood: Cobra F7 3-4 Wood | 14.5 degrees | Fujikura Pro 65

My only real brand loyalty is to Edel putters and Edel wedges. Can't see me ever buying a different brand as long as those are available.

I'd probably lean towards Mizuno irons, since that's what I have now and I love them, but I'd be open to try other brands.

For driver, woods, and hybrid, and ball, I'd play whatever works best. My choice of ball is often dictated by what brand is on sale (among a few that I like).

As far as base clubs for my bag, my first two choices are Callaway and Tour Edge. (I came close to getting TE driver and irons).

I also like Srixon/Cleveland, Ping and Hogan as possibilities, and Cobra (long clubs).

Among others, I respect the technology work of Titleist, Mizuno and TaylorMade. But, I've tried their clubs and find others normally perform and feel better for me.

Focus, connect and follow through!

    • Day 33 (13 Dec 25) - Worked on weight shift and resetting the left heel during downswing (after listening to a discussion on Golf School this morning on PGA Tour Radio).  It centered on how Jack Nicklaus lifted his lead heel and how long driver champs do as well.  Taking cues from that discussion, worked an exaggerated feel of the left heel working doing some swing drill in the backyard using the 7i.  Wrapped up the session by hitting a few low bump and run shots in the backyard - keeping the process slow and exaggerated.

    • It may not have been block practice, though, is one of the main points here. You may have been serving and from the same place, but you were likely trying to do slightly different things. It seems that would only be blocked practice if you were trying to hit the same exact ball hit to you to the same exact place in the far court. I'm not sure that's as random as if the ball that you're given to hit is at different places, too, but again…
