I'm surprised that Green Bay won.  Rodgers has been magical.     Pittsburgh wasn't a surprise although KC gave them a great game and everyone expected New England to win.

I believe we could see a Green Bay vs. Pittsburgh Superbowl.

Stay out of the stock market for a while, and I would hold off on the lottery ticket purchase.

Just sayin.....

I see.   Good thing I didn't have any $$ on the game.   Not only did Atlanta look real good, New England looked amazing too.

Two boring games to be sure, but any year the dirty, rotten Steelers don't win the Super Bowl is a good year. At least as far as the NFL goes.

They feasted on QB in that game yesterday like Denver's D did in last years playoffs. Brady better make sure his helmet is on tight.

As a Browns fan it's hard to get excited about this time of year.  The only exciting time of the year is April (Draft) and August (pre-season doesn't count).

I would say the draft is always the most fun since we get to induct fresh meat to our factory of sadness.

Fairways and Greens.

Maybe the Browns will trade one of their first round picks to the Patriots for Jimmy Garoppolo.  :-)

Patriots continue to be an annoyingly good and simply the most complete organization for rest of the country.

I do think that Matt Ryan + J Jones have the capability to punch a serious hole, but if Branch and Butler have a half a decent game then it will be interesting.

Somebody's gotta stop Brady like Von Miller did last year though to have a chance. Can't give him a chair to sit on and ponder for 10 seconds on who to pass too many times. Hard to imagine what life will be like after the Brady-Belichick era. Of course pathological Brady haters will always continue bringing up deflategate to discredit.

What is amazing about the Patriots, they replaced 30 of their 51 players this year and Gronkowski isn't playing.

Should be a good game, this will be the best offense the Patriots have played all year and this will be the best defense that Atlanta has likely played all year.  Sucks to have to wait two weeks.

were the 21 players they didn't replace all starters ;-).  Seriously, that is a pretty amazing stat.  They are annoyingly good year in and year out with whoever they surround Bill and Brady with.  I'm sure most people outside of Boston will be Falcons fans.  Hoping for a close game to watch.

Historically - Birds have fared only slightly better than Cats and trail Humanoids by a substantial margin.  Regardless...I'll be pulling for Atlanta.

I'm a Brady fan but I believe that Atlanta has more weapons than New England.   If Gronk was playing, I'd probably bet on New England.

Pats were 9-0 w/o Gronk this year and there is talk of trading him.

I go with the QB and Matt Ryan has been the best QB this season. They are playing the best football right now. They just look more polished than New England.

Be pretty cool if a QB from BC knocked off NE in the SB.

    • Day 8: 12/17/2024 Okay I took my new PPJ swing thought to the range today. I wasn't sure I was quite ready to do so, but I'm glad I did.  When I got it right it was good... really good. When I got it wrong it was a major fail. I hit lots of really ugly ones. But I didn't let that deter me. I stayed committed and focused on the PPJ and I avoided any temptation to go back to what I was doing before just so that I could "look" better at the range. I'm pretty excited about what I saw when I got it right.  I hit the 6 iron mostly (nearly all block work today). I also hit about 6 balls each with the PW, 8I, 5W and Driver. Those had varying degrees of success. I did crack one drive that let me feel and see what the changes will look like once I get fully trained.  Anyway, I'm going to go back to the mirror work for a couple of more days before bringing it back to the range. I do feel like if I can get this right my swing will improve a lot. So I think its worth the effort. I liked the way it looked on GEARs when I get it right, and I like the results I got at the range when I got it right. Now the goal is to work towards getting it right more often.
    • So I think it's that they can't just bend the shaft or hosel to get it to a new lie angle. They adjust that and it changes the weighting, so they have to then adjust all the weights to get it balanced again. I get the impression that it's a bit of an iterative process and they do it all in the US, so they're paying US labor costs to build it and make it work how it's supposed to. Whether you believe in the tech or not, I think that's a true statement.
    • Ah, the old EE in the backswing move. Chest going back and staying down doesn't help.
    • Extremely outward path with a very closed club face. Maybe unless you have a stupidly weak grip, like right hand way over top, I don't think the grip is necessary highly correlated to this.
