just perusing the score card. I noted that from one set of tees, one of the holes is a par six, yet the HC and Slope do not look that hard. Overall, the course is about the same as the ones I have played, some easier, some more difficult. I am open to playing from any set of tees (other than tips).

I hope there's no par 6. That would be pretty brutal. Are we looking at the same course?  :hmm:

I remember hitting into a lot of reeds and getting OB. @hacker101 and his son were with me and my son. We had a lot of fun here. My son birdied two holes on the front, then tanked the back when he was like 13  or 14 years old? Been so long I don't remember his age then. . . :-D

I think those are the kiddie tees?

We played the white last time, while all the other groups played from the blue. I don't remember if there were tips or not?

Thanks @Big C.  I loved these things and would totally still come.  Especially now with a young kid, I don't get a ton of leisurely 18 holes on the weekend rounds.  But I'm up in Portland now.  I keep my eye out for these though in case they ever line up with a time I might be down in SoCal anyway.  I've got friends in LA and family in northern SD.

The 1.75 hour drive one way is a long 3.5 hour round trip for me.  After sitting on the fence for the last week or so I've decided to pass on this one.  I'm hopeful for a golf outing closer to my neck of the woods in the future.

@Golfing Dad  I mentioned a short while back, that my daughter will NOT be in attendance. (she has opted to go to a concert instead).  I am still in however. We still need one more for 12.

Sorry, I forgot about that ... Spider quoted your earlier post just above and I went with that.  By the way, there is a real member here with a space in his name like that, but it's not me.  Mine's all one word.

    • Attempting to lift. Any better?
    • Day 82: mirror work again tonight. Working on the same shoulder down and roll and twist stuff. Going on vacation tomorrow and putting the clubs down, so new streak starts in about 10 days!
    • Day 44, June 17.  Today was some preliminary stretching, exploring what I'll want to set up as a regular routine (both while on vacation without clubs and when I'm back) (aside: this is part of an upcoming goal to stretch daily in a meaningful way, but I don't plan to count it as practice on days that I can meaningfully practice with a club)
    • Having a rough week. Went to the Dr. because I was really weak and could hardly swing my driver.  I take Propranolol 20 mg tablets twice a day. Seems like the Propranolol was driving my pulse down (low 50's).  So we cut the dosage in half and I started taking my blood pressure. It was a little high but pulse came up.   Then yesterday I raised it to 15 mg tab by taking it 3 times a day. Blood pressure 127 / 77 Pulse 75.  Heading out tomorrow morning for 18 holes.    I have my driver set at 10.5* but seem to have my swing speed to low and I can't get the lift on the ball I need.  I have not played this week in hopes I will have the strength to raise my swing speed. I may have to raise my loft to 12* . (I will take my driver wrench) tomorrow. (This Parkinson's is a pain in the butt.)  Will give you a report when I get back.    Retired Old Man, Terry
    • You still got to lift your arms. You basically just roll your wrist over in the 1st half of the backswing.
