I can see it now, Topgolf makes room for "No flop shot catch challenges" in its warning sign. Who said golf isn't a contact sport?

I'm picturing someone drunk trying that from an upper level and falling off the edge when they chase after it.

I did a variation on lob catch this morning. Was practicing a lob wedge out of fluff, popped it up, and double hit ball with clubface on followthough.

I was actually thinking of doing it too.  I did my own trick shot thing before, or attempted to, with my boss.  I'd hit a high flop shot and he time an iron blast to try and hit the ball.  We got super close through 6 tries or so, but no dice.

Yes, it should be.

Maybe I'll make an icon and award a prize for it.

I like it. Already thinking about where I'm going to do it.

The hat coming off his head and the golfer on the right making a rolling diving catch was perfect! :-D:-D:-D

It could be an icon of a person with hat tipping off and ball in hand. :-D

If someone gets hurt doing this, I'm gonna feel badly, so please restrict yourself to the ground level of the range. :-P

I've already done it off the mat last week. I had the "range helper" come over and try to show me how to chip "properly" so I borrowed his lob wedge, opened it, and hit a high flop shot that went about 20 feet up in the air and about six feet in front of me and caught the ball.

I haven't seen a new thread pop up yet.  This is my first attempt at this.  I'll have a second go at it another time when the ground isn't as soft.  I kept getting underneath it way too much.  My range would be better.

I can do this with my driver :~(:-D

A friend has it down pat, last year he dug a divot so deep, the ball went up a few inches off the tee, under the top of the driver and landed in the front of the divot.
I gave him grief because he never taps the front end of divots down that he creates with every swing and told him the golf gods were paying him back.
