And I moved from the whites to the golds! I still hit the ball pretty accurately, just not as far! I'm 65, so why should I?

As someone else said as well, getting gamegolf and combining those stats with LSW has resulted in smarter play.

More good golfer in their golfing life found a key move that change their game.

Do you have any which has revolutionized your game for good?

I haven't found mine yet, Have you?

It's hard to find just one or two.

1 - Swing and contact and video - Just taking a couple lessons changed everything for the first time starting with the Gary Player drill and then going from there.  The basics....whodathunkit?

2 - Shaping and controlling and just plain freaking understanding what's going on - Trackman (and this website actually) - physics is real - face and path actually does mean something significant, uplofting and delofting are powerful tools - if anyone says otherwise, then they are just plain wrong.

3 - Short game - discovering what a pitch and a chip were - changed my game - I was clueless (more than now)

4 - Putting - I have no freaking clue, but incrementally things are starting to gel.....

5 - REAL GOLF - discovering Siracha instead of tobasco for Bloody Mary's

Bringing my left shoulder under my chin on the back swing, (without dipping, keeping my head steady, and my left arm straight).

A decade ago I overdid the "connection" thing which led to an overly rotational takeway and and inside swing back that introduced to me the joys of "getting stuck."

That stupid move changed my game for good.  Felt so good, worked so, so bad.

To this day, I almost never practice without "railroad tracks;" my tour sticks laying down and me making sure to hinge my arms UP and never back and obsessing over the move away from the ball.

God I hate that move.  Like a former smoker, I can't even look at a player who takes it away inside.

I meant "former smoker can't stand to be around cigarettes..."

Steady head... I couldn't really benefit with the idea though... until I started to work with video.  So, steady head and video feedback.

For me it was my Putting. I was real good at putting the ball with in 6 inches with my first put. I thought my ball was afraid of the dark or something. A gentleman I waqs playing with told me don't get in such a hurry to putt  He got me to walk away from the putt and take a breath, and then line it up. I started to make putts instead of leaving myself with a tap in. It's amazing to me how one stupid thing can affect your game like that. :-D.

    • Day 446 - 2025-12-20 Woke up early and got some swings in before teaching putting all day. Looking forward to doing the same tomorrow.
    • It's miles better, though.
    • Went up to Erie for a lesson. I still need to work on how I shift my weight into my right leg and turn into the right leg. I extend it too much and externally rotate it too much. That all causes me to over rotate the hips and cause weight shift issues in the downswing. I need to feel like my right leg gains flex (it doesn’t), and my knee cap faces forward. The right hip sinks back and right. I need a need a ton more internal rotation. I still have some right elbow issues in the backswing. The path is better, but too much right elbow bend. I need to maintain width in the right elbow and let my right shoulder retract more, let’s say at A3, which helps keep that right arm extended.
    • Day 130 12-20 Today was just swinging what i had and go from there. Did focus on getting to lead side. Recorded swings for lesson  and hit real balls.
