So Tiger and Sneds at 1:50, eh? If Conners wins I will eat 10 of the hottest hot wings I can find... And make a video of it.

I know Johnny Miller doesn't show up except for the biggest events and I complain about him but you'd figure he'd show up for the Tiger Woods show?

Yup. He'll be at Bay Hill next week for sure... Tiger is still the favorite to win though. If he can just make sure he gets his birdies on the 4 par-5s tomorrow... And play how he has... All hell will break loose in this thread around 6 pm tomorrow.

And post it here!

Conners was third in line to substitude someone for the Valspar. I hope Tiger wins, but if he doesn’t Conners is the second to root for.

Conners was in the first group that I came upon while out at Valspar - first hole with a few other players I didn't recognize (Dou from China, for example, Rod Perry).  Told my dad who was with me, lets ditch these scrubs and find some players we know.

Now I don't know who to root for :-P

The “weight of the evidence” was last year’s rule. :-) Or the year before…?

 whoops you are right. I can’t keep up with this stuff anymore.

On a separate note, I’m pulling for Tiger in a big way today.

Anyone think there is a difference between the player that comes out of nowhere now and say 20-30 years ago? Many expected such players to fold like a cheap suit, but given depth of field, maybe that's an adjustment we should account for? People are generally more media now savvy too.

One thing that crossed my mind was when Conners bogeyed, that was around when the national telecast started, maayyyybbee he's like, I'm in front of millions of people? Or maybe he just happened to bogey when NBC took the reigns.

By the way I'm going to be Yelling "Eldrick Woods" all day Saturday. Let me know if anyone hears me. I'm working on a $50.00 bet to get thrown out. I have some other material also.

I heard someone yell that and thought, "how pathetic and embarrassed that guy should feel for his existence." Then I saw your post.

You like Tiger more because he has absolutely zero respect for women, was proven to be a terrible husband and father, and is an awful role model for young people? He should be treating women with honor and respect and he does the exact opposite.

You are full of 5#1+.

After this crappy cold winter and injury, this is just the sort of thing to get me back into golf. I'm not sure what would be worse, having Tiger and his crowd following in the group or hearing it ahead and them stomping the course in front of you.

I don't necessarily think Conners is going to fold. I just think there is too much experience right behind him. The three guys one behind, Rose, Tiger, and Sneds have been here on numerous occasions.

I'm pulling for Tiger and I think -12 is the magic number.

If Conners asked me for a tip because I slept at a Holiday Inn Express last night, I'd be repeating, YE Yang, YE Yang, YE Yang. Rimshot.

Even if Conners plays well, he's just one shot ahead of three multiple PGA winners, including the GOAT, and three shots ahead of a few more. Someone from further behind could also put together a great round. He can lose it without crumbling. 11-12 under par might be a winning number.

Either way, I think there's good chance this will be an exciting final round, Tiger winning or not. Heck, just the fact Tiger is one shot off the lead after 54 holes is more exciting than anything else the last three years. Evidenced by the tweet Erik posted about viewer numbers.

    • Day 314 - Putting some things together. Better grip/setup, fuller backswing, better finishing position. Filmed some swings, happy with the progress.
    • Day 130: did a stack session.
    • Day 206 (24 Nov 24)  - An easy session with the 54deg wedge and hard foam balls / one simple goal - distance control thru backswing length while not decelerating.  Had a playing partner comment they noticed me decelerating on a couple short wedge shots in last round.  Hit from distances from close to 40yds down to 20.
    • Musgrove Mill hole #15 was converted to a par 3 after Hurricane Helene. Today, I had 145 from the tee which is a perfect 9-iron for me. I aimed just right of the hole and pulled it a few feet. Clanked off the stick down into the hole and ricocheted out of the hole 13’ away. Drained the putt for a birdie after repairing the hole which was damaged . Not sure if it would have counted as a HIO, but I was pretty excited!
    • Day 55 - 2024-11-24 Did five levels of Operation 36 on GSPro (different courses). 🙂 Was -4 from 200 yards (32) intentionally laying up on each hole (i.e. not hitting a 5I or something). Shot… 22, 24, 26 from 25, 50, and 100 yards. I forget my 150-yard score, but obviously it was < 36. Putting was odd… (and I did it with the wedge or a 7I or whatever was in my hand).
