So does that eagle mean Woods' eagleless streak is over?

He already made an eagle at The Masters, IIRC. It ended then.

How quickly I forget.

Didn't realize the trophy was made by Waterford.

DFL goes to Brandt Snedeker who shot 36/46= 82 (+10)

That 46 on the back 9 included 2 pars, 5 bogeys, 1 double, and 1 triple; 17 & 18 was a 6, 6 finish (triple/double)

Cantlay & Hadley are out early making birdies, they have taken the lead to -8

Woods looks good and seems determined to get into contention

Mickelson continues to ride the Bogey train - a MC seems to be in his very near future

I think he needs to shoot at least -4 today to have any chance this weekend.

It's cool seeing guys like Stricker among the leaders. I'd love to see him win.  But more often than not the "old guys" seem to run out of steam on moving day.  Man, what happened to Phil - that was tough to watch.

Amen! to that.

Otherwise, Cantlay & Hadley have taken the lead to -9 now

Phil certainly blew it yesterday, while Tiger is flirting with the cut line again.

The leaders are scoring pretty well out there. Could get quite low this week.

Does anyone know of a free live stream of the tournament?  The Masters website offers a great live stream portal, but thus far, I have not found the same with The Players or other websites.  A couple say "free" but then navigate to a pay to see.  Thanks

I lost a couple of balls to these demons this past winter down in Yuma.  And the big fan palms are like catcher mitts. Not only that but they are tough.  I saw several balls drilled into them only to be caught and retained. It's fun to watch guys with ball retrievers harvesting.  One guy's was modified with a small index finger sized spear to push them out.

Well, seems all the hype around the Mickelson, Woods, Fowler pairing crashed and burned. Woods is tied for 65th right on the cut number, Fowler threw up 2 late double bogeys to likely MC, and Mickelson rode the Bogey train around Sawgrass for 2 days and left at +8, nearly DFL.

Bubba yelling at fans, his ball, anything really. In fact, he blamed a mud ball for hooking one when he took a drop! The commentator on PGA Tour Live called him out for it. He needs to relax and play his game....

This might be the hardest if not one of the hardest courses the pro's play on. The par three were the green is an island is my favorite hole to watch. It makes me realize these guys are human after all. When you see some of the big numbers they score on this hole alone. This hole has made and ruined some of the golfers rounds.

    • Hi @RetiredOldMan!  I am glad to see you are still playing and having good scores.  I hope that when I am 79, I am not only able to play, but still able to produce as good scores as you have been doing.   I look forward to hearing more of your success and your opinion of the senior flex shafts.
    • Hello Golfing Buddies, It has been awhile since I posted but I am the Retired Old Man that asked for advice because I suffered two "T.I.A.'s about switching from playing right handed to playing left handed.  I purchased a Callaway Edge Left handed golf clubs. I changed the grips to oversize grips.  Well, two weeks ago and still at 79 years old, I shot a 44 and 47 on a small course in my hometown.  I am currently changing my shafts from regular flex to Senior flex.  So, you can see' it can be done! So, you other old timers; get with the program! Blessings to all of you. Retired Old Man (Terry Warner)

    • Probably since the golfer has to swing the club back and up. The hands have to move back and up. You can feel them go back and up just by turning the shoulders and bending the right arm, because it brings your hands towards your right shoulder.  The difference is if you maintain width or not. Less width means a shorter feeling swing path so the more you need to lift the arms. Being as someone who gets the right arm bend at 110+ degrees, it's 100% a timing issue. I am use to like a 1.5+ second backswing. It probably should be like 1 second at most. Half a second or more will feel like an eternity. I have had swings where I keep my right arm straighter and I am still trying to time the downswing based on the old tempo.  Ideally, for me, it is probably going to be a much quicker and shorter (in duration) backswing, while keeping the right elbow straighter. Which also means more hinging to get swing length without over swinging.
