The bad shots are penalizing today but the good shots are being rewarded.  That is fine by me.  Hard should be part of the US Open but I have a problem when, for example yesterday if you were above the hole on 18 no matter how far above it was impossible to stop it before it rolled 20 ft past... thats just clown golf.  5 ft putts being breathed on should not roll 30 ft...

Callaway XR 9.5 + 1, Taylormade R15 3 Wood, Burner 3 Rescue, Callaway XHot 5H, Warbird 4H, Nike Vapor Fly 6-AW Irons, Titleist Vokey 54, 60 Wedges, Taylormade Rossa Fontana Putter, Srixon Z-Star Tour Yellow.

Best Score 2017:  82 (Traditions at the Glen, Par 70)

Favorite Course - Conklin Players Club (Par 72) - Best Score 86

I missed Sectionals by 2 strokes this year.  I summarized my round here, if you or anyone is interested. June 4th is the day for Sectional Qualifying this year.  I'm not sure how many of the 500

Some of the shots Fleetwood has played makes me want him to win.  I hope the course toughens up and his score can hold up vs. Reed/Koepka being on fire or somebody else getting hot.

Yeah, he played some stellar golf and course conditions will likely get tougher, so he has that going for him. His problem is that he had too much ground to make up and the odds are someone still on the course will shot E or better for the title.

I get home from playing golf (I played a Pete Dye course today, figuring if the pros were having a tough but enjoyable time I should too) and I see Koepka is playing tennis on hole 11 and Tommy Fleetwood might be able to afford a haircut.  

And Berger rolls in a birdie so as to not be forgotten.

No kidding.  And once the Poulter/Grace pairing is done, that's it.  Why wouldn't the USGA simply start covering the leader group.

      Why do we care about 2nd place?! He LOST!!! You win or lose. Tiger’s accomplishments are of him being the best and winning. All anyone can come up with for Jack are majors and losing but “close.”

      Not literally. But yes, he did. Much weaker, yes, which greatly inflated his record. No, you still are. I’m not missing it. I just don’t value achieving a worse record over a longer period of time.

      Jack didn't face 10 year olds. Tom Watson was runner up at the 2009 British Open. He did however face weaker competition overall.  I am not missing any point. I have read your thread. I never said Jack was better. Tiger was better at his peak.  Jack has a better record even adjusted for field strength. What you are missing is Jack was consistently better for approximately a decade longer.  You are completely ignoring the horrible stretch Tiger had.  The attached images are not because of field strength.  My reasoning is nothing like that and I have given you no reason to think that.
