For CRAPSSAKE - the announcers are commenting on the idiot shouters now.

Don't they have a freaking clue that this will only encourage the behavior?

This makes me really mad/upset/aghast/astounded

He's playing okay golf, no big mistakes, but just not making anything happen and getting anywhere. 24 pars, 3 birdies and 2 bogies after 29 holes. He's hit 11/11 greens today and made one birdie, but not hit a whole lot of super close approach shots.  Worst rank so far in SG is putting, where he's lost a stroke.

GIR is king, but making putts also helps.

Just.....awful putting.

I mean, he wasn't even close on a bunch of those putts on the back.

Shocker. Koepka in the lead.

As for Tiger, this is the point I made last week. It's up and down with him. This isn't like the Old Tiger where every week he's in the top-5. You're going to have these swings with him. A good week here, a not-so-good week there. I think it will be like this next year, too. When the putter works, the driving doesn't. And vice versa. Then some weeks you get it where both don't work. And hopefully we'll get lucky and they do all work, and that's when he'll break through.

And here's how you miss a 6 inch putt. Juuuust a little too casual. Wonder how much that will eventually cost.

It is a shock, though. He's only won one PGA Tour event that wasn't a major.

Dude it's not like he MCed. He could finish T20 this week for all you know. Even in his prime he had some slightly off weeks. He wasn't winning 75% of the time, or whatever.

Heck, early in his career it was almost a bit of feast or famine (though the famines were still making the cut, just not contending).

I think that he's way ahead of even his own schedule.

And he still has the lowest Saturday scoring average on the PGA Tour.

He starts getting the driver to work, then can't hole anything. Do they list proximity to the hole for single tournaments on pgatour.com? Would be interesting to see how close he's hitting it.

It's so disheartening to see him make pars week after week on the par fives. SMDH.

Regarding Tiger not playing as well as two weeks ago, is that not normal for the elite players?

I don’t follow the game as others do, but it seems like the top players often do well for one or maybe two or three tournaments with it not unusual for them to then miss a cut. Doesn’t seem as though anyone gives that much discussion when it happens.

The shock is he has only one PGA Tour win that isn't a major because his talent is much so better than that. That being said, he also has 9 top-6s in his last 22 starts...and some of that was dealing with and recovering from wrist problems that slowed him down. A win this week and I believe he takes over as #1 in the world.

Yes, Koepka would take over #1 if he wins this week. DJ received 74 points for winning this tournament last year.

Yes, it's normal. DJ missed the cut at The Open and nobody gave two shits about it at the time...even less of a shit was given a week later because he won in Canada.

Tiger is struggling with the Ridgewood greens. But I think it's a pretty good sign the new shaft in the driver is leading to a lot more fairways hit this week. He shot 68 today and it was the worst score he could shoot, which is a great sign. He will figure out the putting. Maybe he just doesn't like the Ridgewood greens. He has barely played there in his career.
