Someday, somebody will have the same question.   When they Google the question, they may be brought to this site.

I knew it was Puma, but I kind of prefer the old Puma emblem, the leaping "puma".  I suppose advertising agencies have to make changes to justify their fees, so now we have the big block P instead.

I actually prefer the block “P”. Simple and basic, like a baseball cap logo. I’m a huge baseball fan.

I think that's pretty bad advertising just to have a big P.  Sure, I asked what it stood for and others will ask too.  But so many people won't ask, so the advertising won't reach them even though they see it.

You also spent more time interacting with the brand and the logo drove you to do it. Instead of subconsciously thinking “oh that’s Puma” you’ve spent ten minutes consciously thinking about Puma now. And for awhile every time you see the P you’ll think “Puma!”

So I think as experts would disagree.

Plus a lot of people in their target market know what it is.

I agree with this^^^^^

Looks like they've styled the hat to look like a baseball cap.

If it has people thinking and talking about it, it's working.

I completely agree with Erik here.   Many non-Puma people will research the newer logo.   I did.   I really did like their older logo better.

Interesting thought......I see a P and I still think "p*ssy".....which is just more evidence I didn't mature past the age 14
