I voted 12 holes. I like the Duf-man but I'm a total Rory homer.

Yours in earnest, Jason.

Nice, . Same here.

Interesting article I just read.

If Rory McIlroy makes it to Sunday’s semifinals of Match Play, he’ll take on his opponent after spending Saturday night in Las Vegas at the Mayweather-Pacquiao Fight of the Century.

" Whether or not Rory McIlroy makes it past the quarterfinals of this week’s Match Play event in San Francisco, the world No. 1 will hop on his private jet and zip over to Las Vegas to be one of the A-listers ringside for the Floyd Mayweather-Manny Pacquiao Fight of the Century.

McIlroy is the top seed in the WGC-Cadillac Match Play event at Harding Park, and will have his own fight on his hands with the three guys allotted to his pod in the newly formatted competition that starts with round-robin group play. But Brandt Snedeker, Jason Dufner and Billy Horschel may be the undercard to the 1,140-mile round-trip itinerary Rory has planned before Sunday morning’s semis, according to the Daily Mail .

And that’s after McIlroy will have played two matches on Saturday -- assuming he makes it to the single-elimination portion of the program. So that could be 36 holes on Saturday, fight night in Vegas and then potentially 36 more holes Sunday back in San Francisco.

But what the hell? The wealthy four-time major champion can celebrate his birthday any way he darn pleases (he’ll turn 26 on May 4), and rolling out of bed and racing to the first tee is kind of his thing."

However, none of this will effect the beatdown he'll most likely give Dufner today :-P

I voted 16 holes. Rory hasn't shown good form lately. He did have 3 good rounds at Augusta. I'll take the average estimate on this one.

I read Duf lost 30 lbs in last 8 months.  He'll be on his toes and give RorBoy a good run.

Are you the Lone Ranger that gave Dufner the win?

It's match play, anything can happen. Top seeds get knocked out early tout le temps.

Fair play. But let's be honest, I'd say the majority will agree that Rory will be done w/ Dufner by at least the 16th.

That can be interpreted two different ways. With this being a match play, anything can happen. All one needs is a hot streak - not even the whole round but a stretch of holes to win.

I understand that the question is being asked in a quasi playful manner, but, seriously???? 12 holes??? That infers 7 up with 6 to play - a match play beatdown on par with the Tiger Woods Stephen Ames matchup of years prior. Not gonna happen. Even for this match to be over by the 14th hole, that would mean either Rory was at the absolute top of his game, or Dufner completely collapsed.

Come on guys, Dufner was the best US player in Medinah 3 years ago, let's give him some credit.

Dufner could easily be down 3 after 3 holes but he poured in two 20 footers on the 1st two holes to survive. Rory got him on the 3rd though.

Duf's only one down, and he's forcing Rory to make those three-footers. Don't tell him he's a pushover.

Rory 4 up through 13. He had all the chances to make it a destruction but Rors seems to screw up the easy stuff. Short approaches that should be getting closer and shortish putts that should be going in. Btw..I picked 14 holes
