A lot of the stuff that's happening in the litigation right now will just delay it further. This stuff is likely to be appealed, which takes time. And the longer this takes, the longer this preserves the status quo, which benefits the PGA Tour.

This is a fascinating article about the LIV teams now being for sale.

There are some details in there that blow my mind. The golfers themselves have to sell the teams, but they only get 1/4 of the sale price, while LIV gets the other 3/4. Are we really expecting these golfers to have any idea of how to do that?

And what on earth is the market for these teams right now? Who is going to buy a team for this tour? There's no way there's anything approaching value here. Legitimately, is this just a money laundering scheme?

While there has been a great deal of talk about Saudi money, the reality is the money is from an investment firm. Sure all the money comes from the government, but their job is to make money with it. At some point they are going to have to show how they are going to make money. Selling "franchises" is certainly a great way to make money. Each sale they'll get a cut of the sale.

As to the market, I no longer have limits to understand what rich people will do with their money. Maybe the idea of owning "Phil's Team" has real value to someone. Maybe companies like Titleist want to own a team for advertising purposes. Or some Crypto company (who really wants an investment from PIF) can get them to wear their logo like European soccer teams. All sorts of ideas.

I know the rich like to hang out where the other rich hang out and they pay good money to do so. Maybe they will find a way to harness that.

Let's pool some money here on TST and buy a team. I can think of a few good names…

I didn’t even think about companies that might want to get in PIF’s good graces. That might be a way to do it. Of course, if you have $100 million to spend on doing that, how important is PIF money to you in the first place?

Slightly OT, but a lot of the companies that sponsor European soccer teams are shady. Some examples:

Online sleuths are scouring the internet to find the digital footprint of a company named 3Key who...

Checking out Liv start on WB app(odd). The players look like the dudes you would golf with on the weekend except with amazing ball striking skills. New inform look is strange. I guess if you are going to watch get used to cw shows on commercials break.

This reminds me of one of the golf video games from years ago. The players with the shorts and no logos remind me of when you would play career mode. You haven’t achieved anything yet so you can’t have a sponsor.

Oh my goodness, you've bulls-eyed it!
That's so funny, now that's all I can see. I remember playing that video game and putting my character in cargo shorts!

    • Or just check Craigslist for someone selling found balls. There's your best budget.
    • I responded exactly as you did: I said “it simply is” in response but I’m the one who is “always right?” And I’ve engaged and humored you through several posts now. At the end of the day I think what you’re saying has little value. I disagree with your opinion on this. But you want to feel personally attacked, I guess, so have at it. We can all read. 😀
    • Not much fun to discuss things on this forum if the only answer is that you're always right and you're not even going to engage in or humour other points of view lol.
    • It simply is. It also lacks a reference. I see no value in this. I’m glad you do for you. I disagree that path isn’t complicated. People struggle like crazy to understand path and subconsciously manipulate path when they should be manipulating the face.
    • Day 160 (9 Oct 24) - Picked up the same drills as yesterday - per-shot setup, alignment with hard foam balls and 7i.  Decent session as balls provide decent flight and offer opportunities to see how “repeatable shots” can be.  Today was good - averaged 5-10 dia circles from 60yds or so
