I've been meaning to read up on the company, I thought it was part of a larger drug company, but it's a small startup based out of MA I think, well, small compared to the likes of Pfizer and J&J. I wonder how a small company managed to compete with a giant like Pfizer.

I got my Moderna booster today at work. So far I feel fine 5 hours after the shot.  I felt terrible starting 8 hours after both of the first 2 shots. 

So far the booster is not as bad as the first 2 shots. Got it around noon yesterday and felt fine when I went to bed. Woke up around 3 with the chills. Put sweat pants on, took Tylenol, and turned the heat up and I felt better. A little headache this morning and feel tired, but much better than last time. Last time I felt bad for 36 hours.

The biggest plus is the non-vaccine medication that treats the symptoms to prevent hospitalizations. Which, I am sure anti-vaxxers will gladly take 😛

They were relatively small, but they did have the biggest biotech IPO in history in 2018 (raised over $600M). It's actually a cool story, their entire company was about modified RNA, hence their name (MODifEd RNA). They were just small enough to move fast, and big enough to have the money to do it. Right technology, right place, right time.

Agree with the article, It just shouldn’t be mandated like San Francisco plans to IMO.

to me this reads, I won’t judge you as long as you ultimately agree with me.  What if they don’t agree to get it for their kids?  Is that ok?

My kid had to have a ton of shots to even get into school. It won't be long before the Covid vaccination is added to that shot list. Rightfully so.
