  1. 1. On a good, not great, day, what will you shoot at your home course?

Good is low 80s, great is high 70s. The difference for me is normally 6 strokes.

Great is also when there are no double bogeys or 3 putts.

Mid 90’s for me at a 20hdc.  An exceptional day when all putts go in and the tee to green game is ok, mid 80’s.

I have managed to detach myself from my scores. Phew... Of course, completely out of necessity of self preservation.

I put mid 80’s although realistically that is probably a very good day lately. My expectations are high, I go out with the intention of breaking 80 even though my best is still 83. I’m not happy with anything over my handicap of 15. I’m not happy with my handicap at all to be honest. I feel I should be a lot lower by now especially with my distance

Wow!  So many good golfers in this forum.   87 is a good score for me.  84 if I play from "senior" tee.

SUB 80 = Brilliant (only done twice before) low 80's good solid game -mid 80's ok few stupid mistakes etc -high 80's pretty rough

Over 90 and I'd be Gutted ...esp.. if well over

    • Day 167 - 2025-03-16 Hit balls after a long day. Junior Elite and a few lessons. Meh.
    • It kinda is… and Tiger isn't super young anymore. You're missing the fact that Tiger changed the game. Golfers put far more strain and stress on their bodies now than they did fifty freaking years ago. The sport is different now. It's faster, and you have to be significantly better now to even make it to the PGA Tour let alone stay there than you did in Jack's day.
    • Well, at least it got fixed & you’ll be back nonetheless.
    • Day 5 March 16th, 2025 Went to the range for about an hour. Worked on backswing and downswing piece. Finally got to making shorter backswings. Feeling like the swing stops when hips get to hip height. That is more of a feeling for how much the hands move, the hands get closer to A3-A3.5.
    • Seems like Jack was pretty "old" when he won his last Masters. And Gary Player is still playing, despite being a fitness freak all his life. Years ago, Cary Middlecoff stated that Tiger was going to have back problems after he reached the age of 30, due to the body torque he used in his swing. But Tiger has also had plenty of issues with the rest of his body. And the car crash certainly didn't help. Has any golfer been as "injury prone" as Tiger?
