Not sure that is considered golf. If that kind of wind is common there, then the greens were too fast.

The problem with that tournament wasn’t the wind, it was that the greens were too fast to be playable in windy conditions. Which of course begs the question, why was the course set up like that to begin with?

^^^^^^ this. I guess hindsight is 20/20, but assuming they had an accurate forecast a couple of days in advance, the could've/should've accommodated

I enjoy playing in stupid wind, because honestly score doesn’t even matter anymore. The fun comes from the stupidity of playing to begin with haha! Just mess around and hit some driver off the deck tee shots and stinger 2irons.

I've played in similar conditions one time. It was a skins event. None of us could finish the 2nd hole because the pin just by a slope, and balls would be blown down the slope. We walked off on the 3rd hole and got refunds. There was no point in playing. I think I would have easily shot a 120 if I had to finish out.

It was at least a 40 mph wind, with gusts up to 70. Greens were quick and pins were in tough spots. I don't think they set up the course to play in that wind at all.

It was entertaining, but not something I wanted to pay for. If I hadn't paid for the round, it would have been a fun experience. Hell, I drove the ball over the 3rd green (about a 370 yard par 4). But I would rather play reasonable golf if I'm going to pay for it.

Yeah...no thanks. Played in similar conditions one time about 10 years ago, and I would never do it again. I still remember I nutted driver - 3 wood to the front edge of a 395 yard par 4 thats normally driver-Lob wedge. I played really well and shot 89, won by like 8 shots.
