I suppose if you were to poll a certain type of person they would say that.

A poll like that would not be substantiated.

Guessing if you had been polled you would have said everything is just fine, thank you.  Well, you're in your own smallish minority.  What if I told you the poll was done by Breitbart?

The key to this thread is not to think of it from a political perspective, but a business one.

In this case its the business of the PGA Tour.  The PGA Tour doesn't want to only sell to conservatives or liberals. It wants to sell to both. So the question, is what to do about a major tournament at a golf course owned by a controversial figure. Even the biggest Trump supporters will make necessary decisions in this case.

That decision, probably, is to move the tournament and eat the contract.

There are not two versions of facts.

The PGA ≠ The PGA Tour.

I don’t know that they’ll have to eat the contract.

Don't know how they draw those things up, but I'm sure our litigious commander in chief will do his best.

The guy has posted quite a bit, so he's no stranger to the forum.  Personally, I wouldn't call him a troll.  But I would suggest he's a bit mislead.

Perhaps there's something in the contract about 2nd impeachments or 25th amendments.  That was in my contract when I bought my house.  So far I've managed to avoid breaking my contract.

If you are at risk of either of those consider me impressed. It is very thoughtful of the sellers to have included that.

Yes, the bank was very forward-looking.  They took one look at me and insisted those items go in the contract/mortgage papers.

Correct me if I'm wrong.  Isn't there a precedent for this?  I seem to recall a tournament being moved from Doral (owned by the person we're referring to here) to Mexico some years ago.

I've read most of the excerpts from that book but I didn't want to get too political.  So, as I usually do, I followed a moderate path in my discourse.

In Scotland you have to putt them all out.

Well, even though there's an extradition treaty with them, I think he might want to escape there and play golf (at his own course) where he's less accessible to the Southern District of NY.

The 2022 PGA should be moved. The country will be in full swing for the 2022 elections, likely to be highly contentious.  Can you imagine the crowd at the tournament? Likely more a political crowd than a golf crowd.  It could be difficult for the players and difficult to broadcast.  And certainly a poor look for the game.
