I think he's doing this to avoid violating 10.2b(4) and 10.3b(3). Notice how he goes through his entire routine with his caddie in a position to check his alignment.  Caddie moves out, then he goes through the entire routine again, so that he meets the clarification of "if alignment help is given but the player backs away ..."

That makes sense, but I can see how that would be annoying to someone watching that all day

My man Wolfe made the cut and is ONLY 9 back. Well, OK, he's 9 back but he's only 5 behind Koepka and Koepka's only 4 back...

Hey wait a minute....those guys are both big hitters. No way they can be that far off the lead! They have such an advantage with their distances! Imagine how hard it must be for a shorter hitter like Stricker  to even contend.

Spieth is looking much better than he has in a long time. I hope he keeps it up, a win can help shake off the some of the stress of the past few years.

Yeah, guy is on 59 watch. (Oops i lied. Either way, its a good round) Needs to birdie 18. He said he feels good tee to green now, just needed more putts to fall and he’s clearly getting it today.

I really like Xander....but damn, hard not to pull for Spieth. I do think that if he plays well but loses he’ll still have a great kick to getting some of his mojo back. If he collapses....that’ll hurt bad. But If he wins....it will be so good for his morale I’d even gamble that he wins again this year.

Spieth playing well is good for golf. I firmly believe that. I forgot how well he can putt. Very cool to watch.

He holed quite a few great putts. Was nice to see.

I may be wrong, but I think the media trying to anoint him the next Tiger messed with his head and hurt is game.  I hope he can avoid similar issues if he starts to really get it going again.

I love listening to the talking NBC/Golf Channel heads emphasize how the fans are under strict social distancing rules, as I then see consistent video of fans not practicing social distancing rules.

Watching the replay this morning, Xander Schauffele is a very boring player to watch. Just plain dull.

Maybe,  but if I had his game I wouldn't care if somebody called me boring!   😏   Not everyone can be a PReed.

He's a machine. Most machines are boring to watch, except for a ferris wheel or a roller coaster.

Just like the days of McEnroe vs Ivan Lendl....I’d watch JM any day over Lendl. Just a pure bore.

Neither Jordan nor Xander golfing well enough to win.  Still 12 holes left so they are not out of it but they need a few good holes real quick.

I really want one of them to win.

The 2 leaders at the start of the day aren’t looking good. Down 3 now. They better start making some birdies. +2 ain’t going to get it done.

    • Thanks but honestly… I don't know any other way. I don't mind being wrong so long as I know where to go from there. I don't like being wrong — I'd love to get things right (which is different than "being right"). I recommend grabbing a furniture slider or a paper plate or something, and doing something like this: First, make a swing where you let your trail foot swing out as you turn, then twist that foot back in. From DL and FO, it'll look like this: Then, during a regular backswing, try to twist your foot in slightly (demonstrated in the left image): You'll notice a crease along the trail side of your hip, your pelvis will "fold" into that thigh (internal rotation of the hip joint), and your "bits" will be squished a little between your pelvis and your thigh. Ben Hogan said once: "At the top of the back swing the groin muscle on the inside of your rt [sic] leg near your right nut will tighten," Hogan wrote. "This subtle feeling of tightness there tells you that you have made the correct move back from the ball." I don't know about that, but you will probably feel something down around that area.
