I'm changing it from a joke to a catchphrase.

Ya know, like

“Bang, zoom, to the moon, Alice!” – Ralph Kramden, "The Honeymooners" ...
“How YOU doin'?” – Joey Tribbiani, "Friends" ...
“Hello, Newman.” – Jerry Seinfeld, "Seinfeld" ...
“Kiss my grits.” – Flo Castleberry, "Alice" ...
“Dyn-o-mite!” – J.J.  "Good Times".

It needs to be on a tee shirt.  Or real small on a golf shirt, in the shape of a polo pony and rider.

Guys I golf with are terrible at math.
One day a guy had a really, really bad hole as in double digits>>
I asked him if he needed to take a "Shoe Off" to count his strokes...
It went right over his head and gave me a look like WTF ...

Next time I'll ask him if he's from Chicago !!!

When a player has a quad or is in double digits for a hole I've learned not to crack jokes.

Once I was playing with the head pro and on #8 he was doing a lot of logging in the woods on the right side... he kept trying to squeeze it out between trees.  When he walked out of the woods down to the green laying 7 all I said was, "Mel, you got steam coming out of your head."  Then the steam increased...

The old guys I golf with, God Luv em, most of them have alzheimer's and lazy-heimer's.
A. they can never count their scores correctly on a few holes.
B. they never fix their ball mark.

I really don't like to poke fun at guys, but a little rub in the ribs is good for their soul.
B. I can understand, because they seldom hit a green.
C. But Dammit, I really don't like being that guy who has to tell them time after time, fix Ur damn ball mark.

I will fix any ball mark I happen to see. Maybe they can't see the ball mark. Many seniors I know rarely make a ball mark. They either run it onto the green or miss the green and chip on. Plus a 3w from 130 yards will normally not make a ball mark with its low trajectory, 🙂

Don't do what a friend of mine does... when riding in a power cart.  He'll step out and sand all the divots within 10 yards, much to the displeasure of the group behind us.

Aim Point has helped keep the putting game decent

I'm probably the last person to not have heard of AIM POINT. My dad knows of it but as he prefers to and can still get down to read his putts the old way, he hasn't taken it to his heart.

I, however, find it very interesting and will be trying it once I can get back out onto the course. (Late March/early April)

What I find a little confusing is the finger thing. OK hand closer to you for faster greens and hand further away for slower but surely there's no scientifics to this. I do agree that the visuals are very good but perhaps when I actually do try it and the more experienced I get, this finger system will make a lot of sense.

Have most pros added it to their repertoire or is it still in very early stages?

I've noticed at least a couple pros who actively use it.

Adam Scott uses it, Dustin Johnson's caddie uses it on pretty much every putt, those are two I know of right off the top of my head.

Actually, people who really know math can calculate the curvature of a ball rolling across a sloped surface, and apparently it crosses through the same included angle no matter how fast or slow it starts.  It depends on the drag (speed of the green) and the slope of the surface.  So you have two jobs, measure the sloe, and then measure the angle.  You measure the slope using your body's innate sense of balance (often phrased as using your feet).  You then measure an angle using the width of one or more fingers.  As you note, you increase the angle on faster greens by bringing your fingers closer to your eye.  It ends up being a little more complicated than that, but there really is science behind it.  This is the same science that fuels the desire for the green-reading books.

Sorry, I meant teaching pros! There's always a line of tour pros lining up to collect sponsor money. Phil Mickelson comes to mind carrying two drivers in his bag.
