I recently have found myself in the market for new Irons. I visited my local shop and found a set of slightly used Titleist AP2s with Project X 5.5 shafts and GPND grips. They looked beautiful! I had convince my wife that I needed new clubs since my other clubs (Titleist 990s) were old. I traded in the 990s and ended up getting the AP2s for a steal! Also, playing them for a round before buying them didn't hurt. The flight of the ball was just epic. Now on to building up my Vokey collection...

Sunday @ Dick's

1 dozen Maxfli Tour LC's plus free 6 pack of Maxfli Tour XD's...used $5 off coupon and extra 200 reward points

Then, went back and did it again, 1 dozen maxfli Tour LC's plus 6 pack freebie ...used $5 off coupon and double reward points.

So I got 3 dozen urethane covered 3 piece balls for $23/dozen

I played them last week alongside a Pro V1x.....both carried and stopped on the green about the same.

I am collecting my PowaKaddy Freeway 2 electric trolley this weekend. I would prefer to be carrying but after a recent back strain and joining a 7000 yard course I am gonna go the old mans route (I am just 40 also) and get powered. A single digit buddy of mine says his trolley is saves him 2 shots a round so I think it will help my game also. While I am there I think I am gonna look at a Vokey 60º 07 bounce wedge also.

It was a pricey day today. I picked up a new Sun Mountain 4.5 and a groove sharpener.

I tried to fall in love with other (less expensive) bags but the new hybrid friendly divider arrangements are not for me. I almost picked up an Ogio or a PING, but I figured since I'll have this thing for 10 years, what's an extra 60 bucks!?!? Maybe the groove sharpener will save me money on wedges.
