Last (Golf) Thing You Bought

Recommended Posts

My last three trips (because the last two don't make sense without 3 back):

3 times ago: See the TEN Mizuno clubs in my bag? I paid for them. And I bought a store-brand glove. And a 2-can insulated pouch in the shape of a golf bag.

2 times ago: Looked at bags.

Last time: Picked up my Mizuno clubs. And looked at bags.

Next time: Purchase bag.

Just purchased the following for post surgery golf being that I am a USAF Veteran I thought they would be appropriate.

Titleist T400 irons. I haven’t gotten them yet, but they are on order!

Bought a US Kids golf set and pink hello kitty balls for my daughter.  It's for her 3rd birthday so i'm just hoping she likes golf as much as her dad.

I buy online as it is definitely cheaper (with no sales tax) than at any store.

Also...when buying online...I know they are brand new clubs that haven't been hit. Still have shrink wrap on the heads. No idiot marks you will get when buying from a store.

I'll try out the product at the stores...go home to jump on the computer and order it from tgw at lower prices.

Picked up a new Oddysey Sabertooth putter for a friends birthday gift. As for me, a month or so ago I picked up my wedges in my signature, which will probably be my last major purchase for a long time to come. 80% of the time, I just stop by to pick up new golf balls, like i am today (trying out the new Top Flite Gamer's)...

I had to get my driver cut down along with checking the tip. It was free but the grip cost me $10.

I'm glad I carried cash and left the wallet in the car. They had some sweet Scratch wedges and shafts I want to put in my hybrids. My wife would not have been pleased.

I bought a Callaway Hyper X Tour driver and got a dozen hx hot bite balls free. Next trip I will either get new shoes or a putter, although I would like to add a Ping G5 fairway wood to my bag, I love the 5wood I have.

LOL...I go all the time! Just to try something ie a shaft on a used club, or a club ... or I shop for prices, as I buy crap all the time! LOL

But last visit was to trade my R7-XD's in @ Golfsmith for a set of Mizuno MP-30's...oh, I got them bent as well, so that time I bought the Clubvantage card..

Was an expensive trip to the store today:

A set of Mizuno MX-25 irons
A Taylormade Tour Burner 9.5 Stiff Prolaunch Red
Taylormade Tour Burner TP 3 wood and 5 wood

Had a complete fitting today, and it was excellent. Now time to wait for all of them to come in......

    • Now I know what you mean by "whoosh". I used your approach above this evening and had very good results. I had a few chunks, but didn't have one the rest of the round after using your approach.
    • Day 5 (4/19/21): Did some mirror work this morning. Focused on take away and position at A6. Also, played 9 holes in the evening.
    • 107 (61 front / 46 back).  A Jekyll/Hyde kind of day. Hole 1 tee shot, hard pull left into the azaleas bordering the hole.  From there it went into topped shots, fat irons, poor putting.  Then about hole 13 the swing came around and I finished with bogie average on 13-18.  Nearly all the other holes were double or worse.   The best part of the round, soon to be 5 yr old grandson was killing the ball on all fronts.  His dad wasn’t doing too bad either as he was breaking in his new Cobra driver and putting pretty good.
    • Day 103 (19 Apr 21) - played today w/son, grandson and the missus along as cheerleader.  Was consistent in one manner today - could not find my swing rhythm.  First thing I DID NOT DO was make changes in the swing during the round, but rather focused on staying constant on setup, etc. locking in on what I had been doing.  Finally on 13 it started to feel like I was getting the feel.   Last 6 holes I played pretty much bogie+ golf.  First 12, if I had double it was good. Tomorrow will spend some time on swing tempo.
    • I've been Playing Golf for: 6 years My current handicap index or average score is: 9.3 (on its way up) My typical ball flight is: Cut The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: Wipey Fade I’m 6’5”, 245lbs, no speed. 6i goes 150 yards, driver 215-225 average   Videos:  https://youtube.com/shorts/dT43FgS772I?feature=share
