At Asian Tour Q School I played with a guy (Peter) who played with a Japanese guy using Tour Stage's colored balls. The Japanese dude let Peter try one. Peter said the ball kicks butt, once you get over the pearl cover and color of course. He said the ball gave him an extra 5 yards easy. And was responsive off irons and around the greens.

Finally someone else who's first question is "how does it perform," not "what color is it." I think golf balls and laundry are like life, if you seperate white from colored, you can never truly be at harmony.

I agree about life, but not laundry.

When they were available, a long time ago, I liked yellow just to distinguish my balll from the others. There is another thread about how some are marking their balls to avoid confusion. Remember white tennis balls?

Quite frankly, i think that seeing a ball in flight could have some real potential positives. I think that it could be a great teaching tool for those who when learning pick their head up, if it's easier to pick up the ball, they may be more willing to keep their head down through the swing knowing that they can pick it up even after it's left the club face... I know it's a stretch, but the idea of Hybrids was also not easily accepted and that changed the game for many armatures.

i have nothing against them and since srixon is making a top-end color ball i might buy a sleeve to give them a try..... white looks better although it's sometimes hard to find in the rough

Wouldn't mind others using them, nothing against them really. I would just continue using white.
