Yes, I just saw that on TGC. She was cute as a button and seemed to have some game a couple of years ago. TGC said foul play has not been ruled out.

So sad... She was such a pretty girl and seemed so sweet... She had such a strong college career but was still trying to find her game on the LPGA Tour... Just terrible... Way too young... Awful news

“At first glance it looks like she might have taken her own life, but at second glance, something is very, very strange about it,” said Erica’s father, Mel Blasberg, by phone from Nevada. “We’re waiting for the police to make an investigation, it’s a pending investigation. “Either way, I lost her and it’s impossible to deal with.”

Thats a really sad story and a big loss for the LPGA and her friends on the tour. Hopefully this all gets sorted out quickly and if any foul play was involved the person if found.

This is unwarranted speculation, but: so little money trickles down in the women's tour that it's hard to make a living unless you are in the top 50 or Michele Wie. Was her house among those overpriced houses in Henderson that are being foreclosed on? Why did she play in only one tournament this year? Was it lack of funds? Depression? Some other reason? Pure speculation.

It is sad especially when a talented person's dream doesn't materialize quickly. But the rest of us are not so talented, and we just plod on. If it was suicide, then one wishes she had plodded on too.

UPDATE: http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/...Qiv_gD9FKQQUG0 Packed and ready to leave to play in Alabama? Is that the strange circumstance that has been referred to?

according to espn her house was only like $270,000

its a shame for the LPGA and Cleveland Golf.

Not that many tournaments so far this year for the LPGA. Their

April major (week before Masters) needed to extend the ways to qualify just to fill the field. If you aren't high on the priority list, and aren't a major draw otherwise (Wie pre-win, etc), you aren't going to get into that many fields. It's like being #25 from the Nationwide Tour money list the previous year on the PGA Tour, only with fewer tournaments to happen into.

Indeed it does, because we'll probably be learning more details of Ms. Blasberg's demise in the coming days than any of us want to.

That's sort of what I am worried about. I hope it is not "foul play" as someone put it, but I have been duped by enough athletes that I have to be at least skeptical. Still, it's too bad. Someone doesn't have to be a saint for it to be bad for them to have died. RIP.

    • It's not there now, so I'm not saying that, but obviously please tread lightly w.r.t. making anything political. I imagine perhaps hospitals will send the data to both places. I don't know what powers the White House has to mandate where hospitals send data (outside of laws like HIPAA regulations, etc.).
    • I got 18 the other day. 292 off the tee, 104 to the hole, hit it 103, and tapped in. That left only 1, 2, 4, and 8. Today I was eager to knock off a few on the front. On 1, 280 or so, slightly thin 9I from 140 to 15 feet over the hole. Putt broke 18" when I'd planned on about 15". On 2, chipped an 8I a bit past the hole. 12 feet, but 5' of break. Putt just slid by low. On 4, hit a good hybrid out to the right, good lob wedge to five feet. Putt broke 8" left to right. Made it in the heart. Great putt. On 8, I pushed a PW from 128 after hitting a decent driver about 280 (downhill, but into the breeze) to five feet. The putt broke just over two feet and had to be a perfect combo of line and speed. It was a 5% slope. Putt slipped by just low (the putt before mine, from 8', missed just low and kept rolling… to six feet. So I babied it a little, though I'd played enough break at that speed). Oh well. Three holes remain. I'll get 8, and 2, at some point. One will be the tough one, but if the course remains this firm and I can hit 8I to PW into it, I'll get it too. When it's soft and cool we hit 5I or 4I into it. 10.5 rounds in the books (the 0.5 round was the front nine, annoyingly enough).
    • Not enough details in this article to know exactly what this means... But it does have me concerned.  1st the attack on Fauci and then this.  https://www.cnn.com/2020/07/14/politics/trump-administration-coronavirus-hospital-data-cdc/index.html?fbclid=IwAR0R2nT1cScOT50Nw6EcI6b5BuWnE4ruK7_f2pEIkWiRqDZjnI6UKLvWJ4Q
    • I've never seen the 1st 4 play golf....I'm surprised you have the Big Thai on the list...why?....I would have thought him as really friendly....nit surprised about Mrs. Doubtfire....he seems like a grumpy guy. I like Laura...but yes....she can be a bit standoffish. In 2012, I was looking forward to meet and watch a fellow countrywoman Shanshan play golf....I gotta support the Great People of China.😁. I'm a BANANA and can only speak a few words of Mandarin and Cantonese. I bought some Chinese White Rabbit candies to snack on and was going to give Shanshan a bag of White Rabbit candies. I said a few words in Chinese to her...I guess she thought I was a Chinese POSER...who could blame her...... and I didn't think she was overly friendly with the fans....I was shocked considering how jovial she is on TV....but some LPGA pros know when the cameras are rolling and act all bubble gum, cotton candy and pink ribbons when on TV, etc...e.g. Wie and Creamer. So I kept the candies instead and shared them with other spectators....lol.....to heck with you Shanshan. But the NEXT big STAR from China is Muni He....LMAO......Muni use to live in Vancouver....and a member at Swaneset....a course I often play in the summer time.....here she is in the below video at 12.....never knew who she was.     Look at my recent comment about Feng.
    • Day 199 - July 15, 2020 Played 18 holes. Knocked off a hole from the birdie challenge. Almost got all three others.
