I don't have one specific favorite, but i have a few great ones to mention for you...

# 7 at Cohasse Country Club--A very short 320 yard par 4 with a downhill tee shot...the front of the green is guarded by a very difficult bunker, making the go for the green extremely hazardous...missing left runs the risk of two large bunkers and missing right is out of bounds...the green is a Donald ross signature postage stamp size, and behind the green is OB.

its a great risk-reward hole. gotta love ol' donnie Ross.

The entire shattuck Course is amazing. its soo difficult but so worth playing over and over. its target golf all the way, with little room for error, which is what i love.if you have a mentally strong game, you will prevail 100% of the time...great golf

My favorite is the 18th hole of The Wilds Golf Course in Shakopee, Mn.

While the course itself suggests aiming dead center of the fairway, the fairway slopes severely from left to right. Being left handed and playing a natural draw with my driver means I need to hit the left quarter of the fairway to avoid the ball rolling all the way across the fairway and into the water. Last time I played there I hit my drive directly over the left side fairway bunker into what appeared to be the left rough, my playing partner started yelling at the ball to turn.

I said shhhh... I think that's right where I want it. I ended up about 4 paces from the red sticks on the right side of the fairway...

Thought it might be cool to see everyone's favorite home track holes. Here are my 2 favorites at my club.

#5 160 yd par 3. Plays tough because it is always into the wind. Don't let the short yardage fool you. The hole is bunkered well and the green has multiple tiers.

#6 500 yd par 5. Easiest hole on the course. A good drive leaves a mid-to-long iron into the green. A must birdie hole.

My favourite hole is the 9th Hole at Ria Bintan in Indonesia, a Gary Player designed course.

The signature 9th is par 3, 138m (about 150 yards) from the blue tees. You need to hit across a ravine to a large, tiered green.

Not only do you need to contend with a rather large water hazard, once on the green you also need to keep an eye on the golf carts because the monkeys will steal anything that's not nailed down!

Not the greatest picture, but...very fun, and challenging hole.

Just a local nine hole track, very good golf hole though 185 yard shot, about a 180 yard carry over the water, pretty small green, O.B. left.

Ten years ago I came dangerously close to buying a huge old estate/house a couple of doors down from this course. Thank goodness I didn't (not because of the course, but the house).

From a course that I've played more than a few times:

Hole No. 11 Sugarloaf Golf Course, Caraabassett Valley, Maine

200 Yard Par 3 straight down the hole, close to a 100 foot or more drop.  In the fall with the leaves changing the view is spectacular.  Ski Resort is on the other side of the Mountain.  Course is a Robert Trent Jones Jr. Masterpiece.  Every hole is carved through the woods, extremely difficult if you don't hit the ball in play.

72 par, 6,956 yards
74.4 rating, 151 slope

Let’s see:

My favorite par-3 is the seventh at my home course. It’s 150 yards from whites, anywhere from a 6I to a 9I, depending on the temp and wind. A bunker in front and to the left. Steep drop off behind the green. Made two there twice.

My favorite par-4 is the seventh at another course, and they call it “Trial”. It’s 380 yards from the tees I played. You can’t hit driver, because it’s a downhill drive where the fairway runs out at 240. Second shot is over a creek to a well-protected green.

My favorite par-5 is the seventeenth at yet another course. Not long, 450 yards, so a definite birdie opportunity. The drive is downhill, and even shorter hitters can get to within 200 with a good drive. The second is over water, so even a slight mishit can screw you up.

I take as my favorite hole a nice and difficult hole that keep making me shit my pants every time I´m on the tee box.

Today is N°12 at Buenos Aires Golf (Buenos Aires, Argentina) . It´s a Par 4 of 369 yards from the black (pro) tee´s.
It´s a dogleg rigth with a forced carry of 150 yards from the tee over water. Water on the rigth of the fairway and Trees on the left with OB really close. The green is guarded with water in the front and rigth and bunkers on the left.

The last 3 round Am tournament i played there I was playing around 1 handicap and scored there: 5-4-10.

For the beautiful 10 i hit it OB left with the first shot, hit my 3rd straigth to the water rigth. my 5th i hit it finally to the fairway. My 6th short of the green into the water. 8th shot to the green and 2 putts.
I was 1 under before that hole, 5 over after it. So yes, every time i play that hole i know that it could be the end of the round.

Wow, first time I've seen this thread, and took me a while to see just how old it is! Seems a couple of recent replies have brought it TTT.

Nice pics, guy. Just wish they were in focus!

I'll need some time to, There a lot of holes I can think of, but my favorites of all time? That's tough. Another good topic would be what holes you hate to play. Which are your "nemesis" holes!

    • I usually like to fix the face, first, as the path is most often the compensation for the open face rather than the other way around. If you could get some good down-the-line and face-on video in slow motion, it'd go a long way toward helping. It's tough to see the face and I think the face-on view would show that you're not turning as much as you could/should.
    • Day 86 (26 Jul 25) - Down at the beach place, had kept the clubs with me after playing yesterday.  Spent time this afternoon checking them over and brushing grooves on the wedges and irons.  Spent a few minutes working thru the swing process…working in slo mo through backswing and proper weight shift.
    • . I've been Playing Golf for: 10 years, 1 year consistently  My current handicap index or average score is: 100 My typical ball flight is: fade The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: inconsistent ball strike   I caught the bug about a year ago and have been playing roughly once a week. Have been getting better with my short game and putting but my ball striking from tee and fairway lets me down. Had my first lesson last month which identified an over the top swing compensated by an open club face. Have been trying everything to get on plane over the last month. Have found that using a bend and press into my left leg as the trigger for my downswing coupled with finding the turn and rotation in both my arms to release the club properly has helped my get nearer to the correct plane. Video below is where I am with it currently. Haven’t taken this new swing to the course yet! Any comments or suggestions are welcome  Videos:  I've been Playing Golf for: 1 year properly  My current handicap index or average score is: 100 av score
    • That's always been the deal. You put in the work hyper focused on ONE or at most two things, so that you don't have to think about anything except a single feel or the target or something on the course.
    • Blind squirrel finds a nut and putted well. no, I decided to play a round being athletic rather than paralyzing myself with swing thoughts. I have no clue if I was doing what I worked on. It was the last day and I was tired of freezing at the top of the swing not know if one of four outcomes were going to happen.
