I use a compressor with NDMC grips.  I use a ball pump needle in a hand trigger gun you can get at most hardware stores.  I insert the into the hole in the grip with the pressure set at ~30 psig.  Then I trigger the gun and push the grip on.  Really easy.

That being said.  I just ordered the Pure Grip gun and a couple of grips to try.  I will try the gun with a NDMC grip.  I'm sure it will work.

I've used the gun + inflator tip to blow on about 10 different types of grips, and it's worked fine on all of them other than a super stroke. I went back to tape and solvent though because they were slipping. Got a set of pures the other day though, so will probably give it another go.

I am switching to Pure Grips this year. Pretty soon really.

What would be Pure Grip's equivalent to Golf Pride Decade?

They don't really have an equivalent to the NDMC. Being all rubber you can't really do the cord thing. Their most textured grip is the DTX

I have some 5SK PURE grips you can try out in early April. Wait before you buy your own. I'll get them to you relatively inexpensively.

They're not the DTX though. Just Pure Pros.

I switched from NDMC to the DTX.  Although they are not cord, the grip is excellent even with sweaty hands.  They don't tear up my hands as much either.  My review is below.

Nice job with the review. I've also been trying out the DTX grips the past month and liking them so far.

Might be a stupid question. I bought de pure grips, but without the gun. I was planning to punt them the conventional way. Avoid of using double sided tape? Better not use the conventional method?

It's much better to use them the way they're intended to be used. Get the little gun attachment piece… for now, and the future.

Always listen to good advice. Bought a compressor

Other question, should I use it to get the old grips off, or use a knife. I heard that using a compressor might blow up the grips and could possibly harm you. I always used a special knife.

Don't use the gun to remove grips installed the old way. It won't work. Slice them off, get the tape off, get yourself a clean slate, then go Pure.

Here's a video for installing Pure grips - http://www.puregrips.com/tapeless_installation/

The installation of PURE Grips requires no adhesive tapes or solvents. Using our proprietary quick-connecting tools, the simple power of air pressure installs our grips as securely as any adhesive tape. Once installed on a steel or graphite shaft, the grip provides optimal stability while the elasticity of the rubber combines with friction to create "rubber memory," ensuring the grip will not loosen or slip.

You should be able to spend about $100 or so. You just need something capable of 40-60 PSI.

I have a 2gal store brand one from Lowe's. You don't really need anything big or fancy.
