I've heard that the wooden tees don't do as much damage to the mower blades as the plastic.  I have no facts to back it up, just what I've heard.

Many do more damage.

I been using the same Martini tee for about 3 years. Doesn't go into hard ground very well, just bends, so I have a wood backup. The Zero Friction tees are good, so good in fact, they seem to fall out of my pocket and are lost every time I try to use one.

OMG... I have a good golfing buddy who uses the martini tee.  We spend inordinate amounts of time looking for his tees.  He lives in a million dollar house and owns a music store but he simply cannot lose a $1 tee!

I like Martini Tees.  I typically lose them before I break them.

I don’t like losing my 4 yards more tees because I actually paid for them. I was too busy looking for my damn tee that I missed my own hole in one...

Did your tee shot land 4 yards behind the hole and suck back 12 feet into the cup?  😀

Ah, but one of your foursome must have seen it land and go in.  Or if you were playing by yourself it never happened.  😃  Just giving you a hard time FlyingTeeAce.

I use mostly plastic tees. They seem to last forever. Often, I will use one tee for multiple rounds.

For par 3's, I usually use a broken tee which somebody else has left on the tee-box.

My bag is an ever-changing combination of clubs.

A mix I am forever tinkering with.

I had no idea what a martini tee was until just now. Just ordered a 5-pack to try them out, for curiosity's sake.

Did you order the gin and the tiny little olives to go with the martini tees?

Haha I sure did have witnesses 😊 Since that day, I keep my eyes on the balls until they stop...forget about the tees! Btw, I have my 2nd hole in one 9 months later and I watched the ball took off, landed, rolled and dropped 😉

I've got a lifetime supply of gin in my alcohol cabinet, so I'm good there.

I haven't figured out the miniature olives yet. Maybe micro-spherification of olive juice using sodium alginate and calcium choride.

When did they become such a 'thing'? I always thought the greens keepers hated them. I'm always picking up the busted tees on the par three's to use and I recently started seeing at least 1/2 were plastic. I'm sure a lot has to do with the colder weather, vs summer, snapping  them but I had no idea so many were in use. Our course has no policy on them, I wonder if any do? I know my pro shop does not sell them but next time I hit the PGA Super store near me I'll have to look at the % of wood vs plastic at retail.
