If the attorney had written this in real understandable English, someone would have questioned whether he was worth the $400 or $500 or whatever hourly rate he was billing.  If they can't understand it, they figure he knows something that they don't.

Ha ha.. yupp. Here's another gem filled with redundancy:

'NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the foregoing and other good and valuable consideration, the receipt and adequacy of which is hereby acknowledged, the parties agree as follows:'

In consideration of the err.. consideration?? Therefore, foregoing,..follows??

BTW, this document is straight from the corporate offices of a major automotive OE..

Nicholas courses are mean and evil. I love them. :-)

Not trying to pick on you, Shane, but I hate when people can't spell names. "Jim Nance" is another one. My own is a third. Particularly when my name, or Nicklaus's name, or whomever's is right there where you can see it.

C'mon man! :-D One of the best ever deserves to have his name spelled properly!

This one isn't from TST, but from an article on MyGolfSpy (which does have poor writing in general, but this was particularly awful):

Sufficed to say our recent test of Costco’s Kirkland Signature Golf Ball has raised product awareness.

Did you mean historic sites?

Did you mean Emma?

Did you mean International Women's Day?

Very unique, how can something be very unique?

I'll just stop at this point.

Don't forget the tense shift either ... she "visited" ... "and dropping" ... ;)

(Not to mention that this isn't a Women's Day thing for her - she does that all the time)

Please stop writing "suppose to" instead of "supposed to" and "use to" instead of "used to" .Thanks. ;-)

Tense used to be "a thing", you know.

You don't expect him to be able to write proper "English" do you?

I noticed grammatical errors in his Twitter timeline, sometimes you can tell mistakes are typos or no time to type, they don't seem to be of that variety, I think he skipped out on English class.

    • I actually bought the Bucktown and  went back and bought the Windy City. Have two Scotty’s sitting in the closet. My Futura 5 is slightly lighter than the Bucktown but i have an easier time lining up the Bucktown.
    • Day 37: Putted on my mat while listening to a presentation. Working on set up - upright and elbows bent - and stroke - more back and through. Feels pretty good at the moment.
    • Did you miss where I said “without any other evidence”? Video is pretty good for that.
    • In a golf market where people happily drop 3-500$ on a putter which is unlikely to lower their scores much if at all, the Infinite line is a hell of a value. I like the Grant Park myself.
    • Wow, I am a violator of at least half of the top 10.  1. Perpetual issue for me. Definitely a "feel is not real issue" for me. I will get myself dialed in at home in the mirror and then video my swing a few weeks later and bam, right back to the guy in the red pants in the image.  2. Leftover messiness from S&T days. 4. This and number 2 seem closely related for me. 5. I find this issue is part in parcel with not turning enough in my backswing. I start faking the backswing with overfolding. 8. I don't know that I "thrust" but certainly my hips move closer to the ball as the first move on my downswing. It is almost immediately from the start. Once my body moves closer, I have no room for my arms to swing down. It then causes my arms to stop and I flip to save it. I think this is my biggest issue.
