Anchored Putter Method Poll of TST Membership

I just want to get an estimate of the effect of the rule change on The Sand Trap Forum members.

Voted no.  I've never even had the chance to try putting with an anchored putter ... so no idea if it would help me or not.

I tried a belly putter a few times on the putting green and was never comfortable.

I tried all those other styles (cross handed, the split grips with the right hand really low, holding the grip to my right forearm with my left hand - pretty much everything that was on the "approved" diagram)

they all feel very awkward

like anything, it takes time to learn I suspect

I use a conventional putter.   I did try the broomstick and had some success with it on long distance putts but struggled inside 6' with it.   I never could get a feel for pace with it from that range.   So I switched back to a standard putter.

I wouldnt exactly call this forum representative of the general golfing public. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Nope.  In my experience with the general golfing public, that 10% is extremely high.  I don't even see one player out of 100 using a long putter.

Agree. In the last 3 years, playing 100+ rounds a year, I bet I haven't seen 5 people using an anchored putter....
