Wanted to get back on the course more in 2014. Got some new balls a few weeks ago. Two catastrophic snow storms later, they're still in their sleeves.

There is some light at the end of my tunnel.

34 and sunny today in the good ole Miami Valley. The 10-day shows 40s and 50s next week. We may be playable a week from Saturday if the ice potatoes melt in a timely fashion.

I could give a crap about green grass or warmth. Just melt all the snow at my driving range so I can practice!

I assume ours will be closed until at least next wednesday or so, because of all the snow I assume the picker won't do much and I certainly wouldn't want to be the guy to hit all the balls left in the machine. So far I can work on my putting at home or go demo clubs at golfsmith, neither of which do me a great deal of good.

Well this winter is starting to take a toll on my wallet...  So deprived of golf that I ended up buying a Bushnell Tour V3, Ray FLoyd's scoring book, and a grenade driver..... this week!  Things can only get worse because this weekend is the MN Golf Show.  I better lock my wallet and throw away the key or I might just buy one of these!

I just bought a sick gore tex rain jacket for about 100$, and I currently have 5 dozen 20XIX balls including a dozen tour issue on my desk. I've never had that many balls before. I've probably spent more time shopping than anything and it's very bad for my wallet.

Was hoping we could play our Saturday game this week (for the first time in a while) but the forecast was a little off. Got a little more snow than they thought and that's keeping the temps down more than they thought...So the snow is not going to be melted.

Hoping maybe I can play by Sunday and hoping this is the last of the snow. But our biggest snowstorm ever was in the middle of March in 1993 when we got 2 feet so you never know for sure.

At least the days are getting a little longer every day. :-D

Got a foot plus of snow yesterday. Had to shovel out this morning starting around 5 am just so I could go to work, which is just a fantastic start to the day. :censored:

On the plus side, it's supposed to be in the 40s with some rain all next week so I'm hopeful that most of the snow on the ground will melt and wash away.

      Day 135 (27 Apr 24) - played Bradford Creek today while waiting for the missus fly in from her extended visit with the grands.  Good day to stay focused as it was a hurry up (groups pressing from behind) and wait (groups taking their time ahead)…a good day to stay mentally in the game - play the shot and not get frustrated in the waiting…

      Day 122: 4/27/24 Supposed to be a Stack training day but I was beat after yard work today. Practiced chipping and putting at The Creek. The practice green is pretty slow but the session went well.

      Went to the range today and was cursing myself when I got there as I realized I forgot my phone. I added an earlier wrist hinge to the short backswing I was using last time practicing and ball strikes were really good for the most part. I'm heading back to Boston Thursday to see friends and family and have a couple of rounds planned so I'm hoping to keep this feeling.  Yesterday morning I weighed in at 232. My goal had been 230 but maybe now it's 220. I'll have to think about that. I feel so much better without the extra 90 lbs. from 2 years ago. Still a softl slightly less protruding belly so it might be time to go hard on eating better. Work in progress.
