Can you blame him?

I dunno.  Thats a pretty serious chemical cocktail.  A little pot is one thing but this?

Imo he's a very lonely man searching for stimulation.

He was literally raised to dominate golf.  After that what's left?  He screwed up his marriage/swing.  I don't pity the fool as Mr T would have said.

Due to money it appears he will obviously not get the full charges any average person would get.

Hes nothing like Hogan.

I think it's unlikely that he murders two people.

*Is accused of.

Lots of stuff happened to O.J. besides the murder case. He's been sitting in jail for years because of other events. The trial and all that went down was the beginning of it all, but he really declined in the next years.

This is not the thread to go deep into Simpson's story. Just a thought that came to me when I read this thread.

OK...how's this:

I think it's unlikely that Tiger Woods loses all of his money in a civil trial related to a double homicide, and is convinced by his friends to commit armed robbery, and goes to jail.

My point is that a comparison between TW and OJ is absurd.

I didn't compare. I said I hoped he didn't end up like OJ, where my primary focus was on the events not related to the trial and double homicide.

I've always believed Tiger used PEDs to some degree in his prime.  This revelation, while unrelated, ticks another box on the Yes side of that argument for me.  Clearly no compunction about putting dangerous, illegal substances into his body.

What is the percentage of PED users who are also addicted to prescription medication? I don't remember any account of PED users in other sports like football or baseball that also stated they were abusing prescription drugs.

Unless you have evidence pointing to a link between PED use and prescription medication it might be a bit of stretch to think one should be used as evidence for another. I think you are more likely just fueling your own bias on this subject.

What illegal substance is he putting in his body? All of those are prescribed drugs, and legal. In Florida you are allowed medical marijuana. Typically it isn't hard to get a script for it.

Uhhh, no.

There's been no indication that any of the drugs were "illegal" either.

All of those drugs are illegal without a script, doubt he had current scripts for all 5.  Anyway, that's a minor component of my post.

More important is the fact that they are dangerous and potentially harmful and Tiger had no compunction about putting them in his body.

As I mentioned, just another tick mark on the Yes side of the argument for me.  There are a few ticks on the No side as well, but Yeses far outweigh Nos on my scale.  Perhaps not on yours.

You don't know that.

No, because I like to use facts to determine the outcome, not the other way around like you who already determined your opinion and then forces things into columns that suit that.

For me,  I can understand wanting something that gives a positive feeling like one you had achieved in a healthy way like Tiger did in golf.

Add real pain of injury.  Add personal problems...

This can happen.  The only thing that really draws my attention is driving while under influence.

Tigers could get someone to drive.  No need to drive while intoxicated.

I couldn't care less. Got next to nothing to do with golf.

    • Day 14, April 22.  This morning, before going to work, I took the time to hit two dozen balls (indoors, off the mat, into the net), all with a 6-iron.  As before, this was focused on the pelvis separation and the length of the backswing -- yesterday's video view was encouraging that I'm making progress.
    • Hey folks, Here's be a better video that outlines some of my challenges.  Any suggestiosn welcome.
    • I enjoyed the distance wedges episode. It's something that I've not really taken the time to figure out for sure, but I went to a local trackman place over the winter and tested my four wedges (PW, AW, 54, 58) and got four yardages with each one. I am using Dan Grieve's method - you have a 1, 2, 3, and "full". The number references the number of clubhead widths between your heels.  I never really got to grips with the clock method - I'd find my 9:00 one day would go 40 yards and the next day 60 yards purely based on how fast I happened to swing it, but I couldn't turn that off and I was basically at sea with the speed method (Wesley Bryan does this - he takes almost a full swing for a 15 yard chip). The Grieve method I set my stance width and that really limits how much my swing moves back and forth and the speed seems to be naturally more consistent.  Anyway, I wound up with four yardages for each club - PW 48, 80, 112, 127; AW 41, 73, 101, 112; 54 36, 57, 91, 98; 58 28, 47, 81, 86 So, in order, I have 28, 36, 41, 47, 48, 57, 73, 80, 81, 86, 91, 98, 101, 112, 112, 127 which gives me a pretty good set of numbers. I do have a big gap from 57 to 73, but I can do a 2.5 58, which is giving me about 64. Then as they noted you can give it a bit more, or grip down on a club too to adjust a little bit. It's really useful and very freeing to just know what to do. When you have a 54 yard pitch, rather than pulling my 58 and thinking how hard is 54, I can just take my 54, do a "2" swing and just grip down a little and I'm in decent shape.  Incidentally, Erik talked a bit about watching Scheffler picking off his yardages to within a yard. I've watched DJ do that too with his wedges. Scottie does it trying to hit it all the way up to like 200 exactly with a 6-iron and he's hitting it 200.5, 199.7, etc. Absolutely mind blowing how good his distance control is. Insane.
