I think, barring injuries, it's nearly a lock that Tiger wins at least one next season. Hell, he has a good shot at the World Challenge this year.

A lock? I think he has a better than 50/50 chance, but a lock? Nothing is ever a lock in golf, especially with Tiger. You should know that.

I said "nearly" a lock - meaning a very damn good chance - barring injuries. I stand by that.

Woods commits to Frys.

He needs more competitive tournaments to get his game back.

I am not surprised by his decision to play.

I wish he would've played more before leading up to majors this year.

On a side note.  I've played Silverado CC few times.  Not much better than a typical muni course.  But being in Napa makes it look better.

Sure, I've got no issue with Tiger going in this direction. It's great for those tournaments, it's great for we fans because those tournaments become interesting, and if he does break through, it'll be great for his confidence. I wonder though, if he doesn't win one of them soon, will it demoralize him? Getting beat by non-elite players has to weigh on him. I do think he'll break through and win 1 or 2 of these events over the next couple years. I'm happy I now have a reason to watch the Fry's, never watched it before.

You complained about them and we told you why they were the way they are. The “who is the committee?” Question has been answered a few times. Dave and I are Rules Officials and the other people replying know the rules far better than you, so the fact that we are all disagreeing with you should say something. this thread is going nowhere and your original question has been answered several times.

      What is this committee I keep hearing about? We’re a small league playing at a county course. And these are temporary issues that may be gone in a day or two. In any case, I wish more people agreed with me. It seems that trying to convince golfers to modernize rules is like trying to change the Bible. You guys are so serious it kind of proves my point. Other sports make adjustments for  field conditions etc during lower level play. This isn’t life and death here, it’s sport. No need to keep arguing. I have my opinion and you have yours.

      Yeah, I agree that some of the charts are hard to make sense of. That short game chart is showing how often a short game shot ends up within a certain distance. The orange bar is all shots, the green bar is for shots within 25 yards, and the blue bar is for shots between 25 and 50 yards. I just play around with all of it and will figure it out. I would suggest just diving in and see what jumps out and work on that.

      PGA Tour players weight shift to their lead foot way sooner and to a higher % than amateur. I would say it is something like close to 90% lead foot at impact for PGA Tour player. For Amateurs it could be under 50%. You need to get the weight transfer over more and sooner. You can't rely on the feeling of finishing on the lead foot as validation you did so.
