Much better this time around. Ignore the par values because they're wrong; it's par 33 so I shot a +9, not a +5. I emailed GG about it already, so they'll probably have it fixed up by tomorrow.

It was windy and the course is hilly. Really interesting course, IMO, despite it being so short. I'm going to try and play here more often (there's a regular 18 hole course on the property, too). Two long drives of the day were both downhill, but all signs indicate that I'm getting my distance back.

Bit of a sloppy round, missed a couple greens way left when hitting into the wind, lots of putts burning the edge. Very proud of the birdie on 14, just had a good feeling and fired at the pin which was tucked up close to the creek. Ended with a monster of a tee shot going downwind on 18.

This was kind of ugly.

Was happy to be able to gather my wits about me on holes 5-9 after an embarrassing start but then the wheels fell off again.

Scored better than I felt like I did. Greens were lightning fast and I had a few putts go long and down slopes, which is a drastic change from last week's conditions.

Struggled at times just to make good contact. Hit an "easy" driver on 4, just trying to slow things down and bunt it out there in an attempt to keep it in play. It was a slight push, but dead straight, and I was surprised at how far it ended up being. Lesson soon forgotten by the 6th hole when I tried to kill it again and hooked the ball into the pond.

Where did your drive go on 2 that you got 2PS? Nice par on 9.

Pulled over the left trees. There's a pretty steep drop to the 8th hole so they put up a fence to discourage people from going that way. Had to take S&D.;
Nice par on 9.
Thanks. Had a good look at birdie but under-read the putt and missed it low.

Smoked it today. New low score for me on the South Course of Terra Lago (Home course). Check it out. Caught fire on the back. http://www.gamegolf.com/player/bechambo10/round/293116

Your length is impressive. To have an eagle on 18 and have your second shot be an 8I is strong, IMO.

There was definitely some helping winds on the course this afternoon, and I was able to get my ball high and in it on the holes with that advantage. Normally on still days, I can roll them out 280-290 on fairways. With that 8i, 7-10 yards was wind as well. Normal 8i falls around 154-160. Been really working on good ball striking, hitting center face, with inline impact, and the results are starting to show it. @mvmac Mike has been helping me out a bit with my swing a couple months ago, and all I have done is try to work those things in. Also, I have the motivation of whooping on the East Coast Team @iacas for the Newport Cup this Fall, so it adds to that 'nut up' factor.

I took it in the shorts with the wind on all the rounds I've posted so far. 20-30 mph winds pushing the ball around all over.

Things were looking pretty grim at the start, +6 for the first seven holes but then something just clicked and I went -2 over the remaining eleven holes. Strangest part was I managed 29 putts because some of the greens were super bumpy from recent aerification.

Nine holes with the kiddo. Dunked a shot for eagle par on the seventh. ;-)

    • Day 521 - 2026-03-06 Got some good work in for 15 minutes or so with someone overseeing. Downswing work.
    • Day 201 3-6 Wider backswing trying to blend it all together for a full swing. Not looking good yet.
    • Day 74 - 2026-03-06 Backswing work out back at the net. Slow.
    • Day 101: did a stack session. Worked on hands down in the mirror during breaks.
    • Got told off yesterday for doing full swings and full speed swings so went to the range this lunchtime and did some slow speed stuff and freezers. A few videos from my session.    First few are DTL then some FO This one is of me looking at the club on the way back. I think I get my arms lifting all the way back, not that you’d know because YouTube keeps glitching on me.    Second one is two slow backswings. This glitches the first one but the glitch looks like a pretty good position so I’ll live. Second one works. Then another swing back and hit. When I’m not watching or really focusing on it it seems that my upper arm doesn’t lift at first, rather stays roughly where it is and I add the lift at the end so the club comes a bit more inside. I think that’s what I’m going to focus on. This one glitches a bit too but it’s really just pausing. This shows the club coming a bit more inside but not as laid off at the top Then a couple of face on ones And lastly one smoothie and one freezer at normal speed  Quite happy with how this went. I can see my arms are better when I take it slower. Also while I’m still pitching my arms out it doesn’t seem to be as extreme as yesterday. Light at the end of the tunnel 🙂
