@Moxie Dawn You'll be fine. I'll give you 6 months before you'll be posting examples in this thread.

But you have given another idea...

You're not a real golfer if you wear anything "camo" on the course (which I do on a regular basis, this is Northern Michigan after all).

Well damn. I have some Pink Realtree Camo fabric I was intending to make a golf dress out of. Imma do it anyhow.

I'm told that if I wear socks that show at all I'm not a real golfer, but I can't stand those no-show socks. It looks like you're wearing shoes without socks, and that's just wrong. I wear white ankle socks.

Actually, that's a lie. I will wear white ankle socks when I play golf next with @zipazoid , but the last time I didn't wear shoes at all. He said it was OK because apparently Sam Snead liked to practice barefoot.

Moxie, the no show socks are where it's at. They look much more athletic, and make your ankles look skinnier, which is awesome.

Sandals.  That's where it's at.  My feet are much cooler than yours and I have a hilarious tan line.

I might call you out as a non-golfer if you tell everybody online that you shot a "XX" (the score itself is not relevant) without also sharing the CR from the tees you played!!

Next.....

LOL

Well....At least you left the door open a bit with the "might" :surrender:

I was wondering about that as well.  Really hoping he meant dress socks and saddle shoes with shorts, maybe???

:-$

What did you do with the under garments in this situation? And how exactly does the golf towel play in ... on second thought, don't answer that question. :-$

I have played with an upset stomach where I thought this might be a possibility, but I was able to get through it. I did play with a hungover friend once, who left chunks of his hot dog at the turn in the woods and then in the fairway on another hole.

You haven't played a twilight round in Phoenix, AZ in late June.

My friend and I made the turn at 9. He respectfully bowed out when he realized that the thermometer in the clubhouse said 114 degrees. I was only 5 over - great for me - so I told him I was sticking it out. By the end of 18 I had sun poisoning so bad that I had to ask my wife to pick me up because I was vomiting every five minutes due to electrolyte loss. I spent the next 8 hours on the couch puking in a spaghetti pot wondering why I hadn't brought more Gatorade and snacks and put myself through that crap to end up shooting in the 90s. Hint - dizziness and nausea add strokes to your score!
