Correct!  Gold star!  However, inference can also be defined as the non-logical, but rational means, through observation of patterns of facts, to indirectly see new meanings and contexts for understanding. Of particular use to this application of inference are anomalies and symbols. Inference, in this sense, does not draw conclusions but opens new paths for inquiry.  Yes, I copied that definition.

Tiger Woods just announced he is not playing next week's Arnold Palmer.  We all know what THAT means!  Wink, wink, ;-) nudge, nudge.

All it means to me is that his game is not tournament ready. It also raises the question if it will ever be ready. I happen to think he will get things straightened out eventually but I admit I'm not as convinced as I was a month or two ago.

More innuendo, and with even less evidence to justify any suspicion.  Have you just decided that the trolls life is the way you want to go?  Tiger's game is simply not yet ready for prime time.  Case closed.

Just an observation.  Seems like you observed the same thing.  Do you even know what inference means?  Most on here don't.Just an on

Here's another observation. You don't like to treat people with respect do you? It's OK to have an opinion but there's no need to belittle others.

"Did Tiger do PEDs? There's no chance," Williams said. "Love him or hate him, Tiger always respected the game. He knows its history and people, its standing in sports and the world. He always knew what golf did for him personally.

"Whether PEDs have been used by other people is a good question, because it's occurred in every other sport. So why would golf be any different? The PGA Tour tries so hard to promote a squeaky-clean image, and we all know that's not the case, certainly with recreational drugs and probably the other stuff. I saw no specific cases and was never particularly interested in the subject. But, yeah, I'm sure it's gone on."

Howm about you come up with some evidence.

There isn't a single thing that could even make one suspect that he has used illegal drugs.

I would love you to face a court and explain your idiotic suspicions.

That comment is really old. The Stevie quote isn't.

What a crock of shit article. Didn't Steve Williams claim cluelessness about Tiger's screwing around? I'm sure he would have said TW would never do that either if he was asked pre crash. He also claims he wasn't around him alot.

So, why does his opinion about whether or not TW used PED's matter? Why does he have any credibility since he was blindsided by the adultery (supposedly) and was never around him much off the course? Yes, TW is driven not to used PED's by some moral code of golf lol. Let's wait patiently for the press to ask him these obvious questions. The media is a joke.

If his opinion doesn't matter, you're down really only to Tiger's whose does.

LOL. What's idiotic is believing he absolutely did not take banned substances just because there is no "court-worthy" evidence.  By the way, there are many things listed in this thread that could make one suspect.  I'm not going to re-list them.

Like what? He's as large as a linebacker? No. He's more injury prone? Right, because nobody just gets injured playing golf. He knows a guy? So do thousands of others. He's recovered more quickly than he should have? Oh wait, no, he hasn't… So what is it? Because I think 99% of the time the only evidence necessary to many is that they hate Tiger Woods.

I think I have listed plenty of circumstantial evidence that is enough to convince many.. The strongest is the relationship with convicted PED peddlers who worked with other high class athletes like A Rod and others.. Along with the sheer number of visits and the nature of the treatments I for one am convinced and it has nothing to do with hating tiger.. The argument is tiger is above that, he respects the game.. Bullshit.. A Rod supposedly respected the game and so does Ortiz and Manny and many many more.. This is a matter of public opinion, I'm not trying nor do I care to prove anything in a court of law.. Sooner or later the truth will come out, but to say that for the people who believe he did PED don't have any ground to stand on is a little naive because of the history of PED and superstar athletes. And it isn't not like Tiger can stand on high moral ground and say that he he is above that, I'm sure he has no credibility in that sense, so I'm left with a whole bunch of cercumstantial evidence against his word.. Evidence wins..

The "history of PED and superstar athletes" isn't ground to stand on that will back your stance ... it's wild speculation.  Some famous athletes who have been accused of using PEDs denied it and then it turns out that they lied does not equate to "anybody who is a superstar athlete who has some muscle uses PEDs."

Also, you are conveniently ignoring the "whole bunch" of circumstantial evidence that doesn't support your stance.  First things that come to mind are the fact that Haney and Williams - two people who many agree aren't Tigers biggest fans anymore and who would likely have the knowledge - adamantly deny that he ever used PEDs.  He's never been listed in any documents in relation to Galea ... like the others you've mentioned were.  And, last but definitely not least ... he exhibits no physical signs of being a PED user.  He's not that big, he never had a big jump in size/strength like your Barry Bonds', or your Roger Clemens' or your Rory McIlroys (oh no, he didnt, did he?? :bugout: ).  And he doesn't recover well from injuries - or barely at all.

Add that all up and ... you guessed it ... "evidence wins.

Also, I call BS on the whole "the truth will eventually come out" line.  You can say that until you die and think that you are correct.  You're asking those who disagree with you to prove a negative - how the heck is that even possible??

Prove it.  I can state accusations about you as truths (I won't)  based on some of your questionable posts on this site but that doesn't mean they would be accurate.

Unless you have visual evidence of him taking PED's or failed blood tests you're stating an opinion which is fine, but shouldn't be confused with fact or truth no matter how emphatically you state them.
