Chip is taking some heat for from Steven A for having a racial bias,

Gee, it's amazing how a racist can get guys like Byron Maxwell, Walter Thurmond and DeMarco Murray to sign up with the Eagles.

I don't think I need to remind anybody what the "A" in Stephen A stands for.

I'm the Giants fan.  I don't have to hope they fail, they do that just fine on their own.  As to the Giants stinking, yes they did last year.  Every team in the NFC east goes through periods of stinking and every team in the NFC east goes through periods where they win Super Bowls.  Well almost all NFC east teams.  LOL

And oh, BTW, nice trophy case:

What are you, twelve?

Eagles sign DeMarco Murray.  This is a weird signing after they traded Shaddy.

Less money on the cap, plus he's a better fit. Shady danced too much and there were too many 2nd and 3rd and 13's. Murray doesn't do negative yards.

Yeah I like Murray, finally the Eagles make a reasonable signing.

Murray was a great back last season but you have to be a bit worried that the Cowboys overused him.  The Cowboys also had a better QB and WR's than the Eagles currently do.  Kelly had to sign Murray to keep the fans at bay, it will be fun to see how the moves work out.

Kelly signed Murray because he's a better back then McCoy.

Every watch Oregon play football. It's all tempo tempo tempo. They like positive plays, keep the plays moving in quickly. You hit them with negative plays and they slow down. The stat I learned today, nearly 50% of McCoy's runs ended up for negative plays last year. He's either big run or nothing. Murray is a much better back because he gets you positive yards on nearly most of his carries. That keeps the Kelly offense running. Kelly always had two backs at Oregon. He'll split time between Matthew's and Murray. Murray will probably run 40% less of the time in Philly and produce good results.

Kelly doesn't give a damn about the Philly fans. All he cares about is coaching. He's obsessed with being a football coach. Cowherd keeps saying this, Urban Meyer (best coach in college football) and Belichek (best coach in NFL) go to Kelly to talk football. Kelly is a very very smart guy and knows what he is doing. Everyone is making an uproar because he's actually trading away players. He's making moves. He doesn't care about the status quo in the NFL.

I will say that Bradford is a risk. If he stays healthy, then he is a really good fit for Kelly's offense.

Kelly knows his offense and knows what players work.

If this was Belichek letting players go no one would make a stink about it.

I don't know if you can say Murray is that much better than McCoy.  Career averages say they are about the same.  Murray's best year  1845, 4.7 yards per carry 13 tds. 57 rec 416 rec yards 0 tds. McCoys best year 1607 5.1 yards per carry 9 tds.  52 rec 539 rec yards 2 tds.  Dallas has the one of if not the best O line in football with a HOF TE one of the best WR's in the league and a Probowl QB.  Murray won't do what he did last year again.  He won't put up the numbers he did in 2014.  This is a good read http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/what-happens-after-300-carries-revisited/

He won't have to. The Eagles have Mathews, Sproles and Polk to take a lot of the snaps. And averages are deceiving. As a person who saw almost every snap by the Eagles in the last couple of seasons, McCoy and Murray are far different backs. McCoy's averages are built on big plays. The vast majority of his runs go for less than a yard or are losses. He makes up for it in the occasional dynamic long run. Murray, on the other hand, moves the chains. There are fewer three and outs and it keeps your defense off the field. I'll take Murray every day over McCoy.

Frankly, the Eagles lucked out to get Murray because Frank Gore turned them down.

His moves the chains had a lot to do with the o line in front of him. I agree that he won't have to put up those numbers and he will share time. If that's the case though why pay him so much? Why not sign Mathews and take a rb in the draft? I like Murray but he's a product of his environment and he can't stay healthy.

I can't argue the point that the Eagles have way too much money in the RB position. Kelly has stated that the money was a big factor in trading McCoy. Bu there is no question that the position is upgraded.

I see that Las Vegas has declared the Colts the winners in the free agent competition, making them the favorites to win the SB.

Yep, ridiculous # for Murray. He'll be missed but I didn't expect another 1800 yd season from him. He'll give Philly 1200, if he stays healthy which is a huge if as last season was his 1st without a major injury. With Dal's O-line and (hopefully) continued commitment to the run game, they'll be fine on the ground next season. Not crazy about Dal's off season to this point but it seems Stephen is effectively reigning in Jerry's wild assedness, and that does please me. Hopefully, with Stephen and Garrett at the helm again this year, they will have another solid draft.

Yesterday they were talking here in Milwaukee that if Dallas would draft Melvin Gordon or Todd Gurley they won't miss Murray at all. I don't know if I'd go that far but the guy on the talk show (a former NFL rb) was saying Dallas's o line is so good either rookie can do what Murray just did. He was also saying Murray's injury history almost guarantees he will be hurt again this year.

Smack from a 6-10 team?

LOL indeed.

At least they have won a championship within the last 50 years.  Four of them, in fact.

At least when WE rebuild, we get somewhere.

Philadelphia Eagles:  Rebuilding since 1960.  Unsuccessfully.

The Giants may not be the Tiger Woods of the NFL, but at least they are not the Sergio Garcia.

But then again, what the hell do I know?

6-10. Do something.

Of course, it's pretty hard when three players take up 30% of your cap room.
