If I didn't have the G30 Iridium lenses, I probably would have liked the Prizm lenses. As it is, I'm used to my sunglasses making everything a little darker and slightly red. With the Prizm lenses, I had to squint at times if the sunlight reflected off things and hit my eyes (still too much glare for me). I couldn't wear them out on a boat, for example.

I hear ya. There is a lot of preference involved. I have a pair of dark polarized sunglasses I wear for driving and at the lake and that. For guys who don't generally like to wear sunglasses on the golf course like myself but are trying to do so in the effort to take care of their eyes, I think the Prizm lenses are a great option. I feel for me that other glasses are much too dark, as I am used to playing without glasses. I did wear them mainly with a hat over them, so it could be very different without the hat as well.

I do have one pair of the Flak Jackets, now that I think about it… I found some more G30 Iridium Polarized for $72 and had a coupon on top of that, so I got another pair (of lenses).

I just spoke with the optometrist at the local Oakley store this morning. I need prescription sunglasses. He said that

they will not be offering prescriptions in the Prizm until this time next year.

He suggested the G30 or the VR28. He said that here in Florida the G30 are not dark enough and that the

VR28 would be a better all around choice. He suggested I look through each to make my decision.

Hmm.

These are the Prizm for my pair:

Do the Prizm lenses help you find the ball better when it's in the rough?  That's probably one of the biggest reasons why I'd consider getting them.

I think that is what I am looking for.

I got my Oakley's from Lenscrafters. They are prescription, I am not sure they can make those type of lens' for prescription or not.

I might investigate.

After getting Lasik eye surgery this winter I picked up a pair of Flak Jacket XLJ golf prism lenses for my former prescription Flak Jackets. They work very well. The only thing that bothers me is that your skin always looks sunburnt when wearing them :-P

Getting shipped a pair of Radar EV Golf Pitch w/ Prizm.

Vented... cool. We'll see if vented works.

I think it's a slightly different Radar -- I had Flack Jackets but need more coverage and less sweat and steam. lol.

Yesterday I picked up my pair of prescription Half Jacket with VR28 polorized lenses. I love them. I agreed with the optomitrist at the Oakley store that the Prizm and the G30

were too light.  I used the glasses on the way to and from work today and they have a blue blocker like effect. Everything is crisp and clear. I will test them out on the course

Monday and report back.

The Prizm sense is light, but it does a great job of contrast for golf -- doesn't take out too much, just enough.

It is golf or activity specific -- not for driving.

The Radar Pitch frame, while large, does seem to get away from your face and allow air between the lense and your face. The venting holes seem to help. I was using them in 85F and 90% humidity, sweating profusely, like taking a bath on the range today.

I work in an opticians myself and we've got the Oakley golf prizm lenses in store - I think I might pick them up at some point and write a little review on them. The tint is something I've seen before though - its a very strange experience when you try them on for the first time.

I just got prescription Oakley Flak Jackets with the golf prizm lens. I will report back once I get to play with them. So far, the contrast is great.

I just got these last week, great sunglasses.  Everything just seems to stand out better when you have them on.   Love them so far.

I got the prescription ones. I got to play one round with them so far and I like them a lot. They definitely improved my depth perception, which was lacking in my M-Frames. They are not as dark either and you can where them when it's overcast. I noticed Stenson was wearing them yesterday at Bay Hill and it was overcast.

Next, I will try them mountain biking. They have Mountain biking specific lenses, but I can't see how much different they could be.

They weren’t 100 per cent perfect but anything that enables me to see almost everything from my tee shots to wedge shots, help me see the ball better in flight.

Anyone have the Oakley Dark Golf versus Golf?

I've been wearing the dark golf lenses for a couple years now.

    • Day 430 - 2025-12-04 Slow motion backswings (with chippy shots) with AlmostGolf balls.
    • Day 24 (4 Dec 25) - Spent about an hour working with the new 55° wedge in the backyard.  Kept all shots to under 20yds.  Big focus - not decelerating thru downswing and keeping speed up with abbreviated backswing.  Nothing like hitting a low flighted chip with plenty of check spin and then purpose to float a pitch of similar distance.
    • Day 114 12-4 Put some work in on backswing, moving the hips correctly, then feeling over to lead side. Didn't hit any balls was just focused on keeping flowy and moving better. I'll probably do another session tonight and add in some foam balls.

You are not making sense.
