Full swing practice again this morning focusing on bowing my front wrist at A4. Feeling good about my downswing and keeping my head back and hips forward on follow through. Did a really slow swing to finish without stopping at A4 and A6 as per the drill to see how it feels putting it all together. It felt good.

It's been raining all day, so I practiced short putts for 10 minutes on the astroturf strip in my study. Focus was on getting feel of proper arm hang with new Winn ProX 1.18" oversized grip on my putter.

Focus, connect and follow through!

After some awful video feedback of my head lifting......again, I practiced a shorter backswing where it feels like a half swing.

Unwrap the arms with my hips. That's the feel that seems to do it for me. I'm starting to draw too much even though the distances are longer. Maybe I need to choke back on this a bit?

Did some slow swing drills for 5 minutes before my round today. . .shot my lowest differential, possibly the lowest I'll ever score too! I'll remember this day!

Went to the range today with a buddy. Spent about 20 mins on short game,15 on bunker shots, then probably an hour on full swing. I felt a little like Erik towards the end. It took my probably 15 mins to hit my last 5 balls with my driver.

Played 9 holes today, not so good. I had some very good shots intermixed with some bad ones. SV 3 short game just evades me at spurts. Its kinda strange. I can hit some great pitch shots, then the next hole I am blading one across the green.

I don't know if I am not doing something the same each time, or I am not concentrating enough each time. Its a pitch shot, my technique is good. I was hitting a lot of good shots yesterday at the short game area at a local course. Not one pitch shot was bladed. Just confuses me on this. I can understand my long game when, I don't do my piece right. I know I need to make a good backswing and then turn more with the hips.

2 buckets at the driving range.  Hit a few shanks, but know that it is due to shifting forward.  When I concentrate on staying centered on my feet, no shanks.  Hit some nice draws and fades on command with 7i and 9i.  Getting more distance with those as well.  Due to a smoother release and increased club head speed.  Overall, pleased with the progress.

    • Is it? I bought the Stack radar to replace my PRGR based on what Stack told me! When I am swinging for speed, the PRGR would miss 50%-80% of my backswings due to a higher speed. The stack seldom misses those- at least for me.
    • As an analyst by nature, I would like to compare the scores under both systems. It is something we can easily do if we have the data. I actually thought the new system was less fair to those whose game was on the decline - like mine! Old: Best 10 of last 20 scores with the .96 multiplier. Course handicap excluded course rating and overall par. New: Best 8/20. Course handicap includes course rating -par. My understanding is Stableford caps scores at Net double bogey like stroke play. If so, handicap should be slower to rise because you are only using 8 versus 10 scores. If I am missing something, I am curious enough to  want to understand what that may be. My home course tees that I play are 72.1/154 now. My best score out here is 82. When my game started to decline, my handicap didn’t budge for 13 rounds because of good scores in my first 8! I know I am an anomaly but my handicap has increased almost 80% in the past few years (with only a few rounds this year). For a few months I knew I was losing every bet because my game was nowhere near my handicap. I suspect I have steamrolled a few nuances but that shouldn’t matter much. When I have modeled this with someone playing the same tees and course, one good round, or return to form, will immediately reduce the handicap by some amount.
