  1. 1. What tournament will you be watching.

    • Mainly the BMW Championship (Wentworth)
      6
    • Mainly the Crowne Plaza Invitational (Colonial)
      8
    • A little bit of both
      12

I dunno about that, I kind of doubt that a non-golf fan would be able to tell you how many Majors Jack has won, or even Tiger for that matter.  If I were to ask a non-hockey fan who has won the most cups, I'm sure a fairly decent amount would know it's the Montréal Canadiens, but ask them how many, not likely to know the number, even in Montréal. I'd even go as far as to say that most non-golf fans would assume that Tiger has won more majors.

I think people who know sports but don't necessarily follow golf would know. I hate the NBA and don't follow it but know MJ has six rings. Just one of those numbers in sports that most knowledgable in sports would know. At least I would think. I could be wrong.

Forever winless on the PGA Tour.

Perhaps that is why he ducked the big guys at Wentworth to play in an opposite field event in Texas. He has to try everything.

lmao at using the term "opposite field" event to reference Colonial.

This is only anecdotal but before I started playing and getting into golf, I could tell you who had won the most majors but not how many.

That is a really cool trophy.

Think so? I think it looks like part of a column from a BMW dealership. Or like it should have a bottle of an expensive micro-distilled vodka inside of it.

Ha, I was just thinking it looked like there might be a bottle of Talisker in there.

Yours in earnest, Jason.

LOL ... you're right.  I just like that it's different.  And if all else was equal, I think I'd rather that trophy on my shelf than a tablecloth from an Italian restaurant hanging in my closet.

    • Day (2 May 24) - somehow I missed posting both Tues and Weds practice sessions - so the streak ends and a new one begins…. Focus today was on ball first contact using the Divot Board for reference.   Worked with 7i, 9i and GW hitting hard foam balls.  Started hap hazardly and then settled back into my pre-shot setup.  Much more consistent in the latter.
    • So, Newey is out at Red Bull. Where does he go in a year? Is Max still with RBR in 2026? Hmmmm.
    • August 2010 Woodfin Ridge 18th hole Playing in a large tournament with a slew of friends and the last day was two man best ball. The 18th, when it was bent grass, was very fast due to a steep slope on the right side. I had seen many people over the years putt off the green from above the hole. I hit a great drive and 3W to 30’ left of the hole. With everyone watching my partner hit it way too fast and never high enough and his ball rolled all the way to the bottom of the green.  I hit mine much higher and the ball came to rest about 20” above the hole. Then it slowly started trickling towards the hole for a walkoff eagle! Nobody said anything except my partner who was yelling pretty loudly. I looked at the crowd and told them it was okay to clap because it was a great putt, and they gave me a bunch of polite golf claps and brought me a beer!
    • Day 127: 5/2/24 Stack Full Speed spectrum training session 6/24. Training speed was 5 mph higher than previous high, as was e-speed. Still not as high as I have done in previous programs, but just 1 mph lower. Battling through a neck issue, and possible trigger fingers. Happy with results.
    • Day 49. Played 9 from tees a bit beyond my comfort zone and was humbled. Hit a couple good shots so will take that at least.
