Tiger looks more leaner & his swing looks more free flowing... Hopefully it will stay that way and get better even...

Important round today for Tiger, needs to go pretty low to have a chance to be in contention, a 65 or 64 would be great :-D.

Yeah, you'd think at least one of the 25 (!!!) guys that are tied with him or ahead of him that haven't even teed off yet would shoot a good score. But he's still so far off his form that he doesn't even need to win. He just needs to start being consistent. Even if he just goes 69-68 this weekend and finishes T14 or whatever, that's a really good thing considering the very recent past. :)

I think Venezuelan Tiger might be dyslexic...

LOL, why do you say that? Weak field....

Yep, and he's still barely in the top half of those making the cut. I know this is a lot more than any of his fans have had to get excited about lately, but really? I guess at a certain point, it's all relative...

Because he's not playing like an ostrich.

Tiger shouldn't have needed any help in making that call on OB. Big miss, indeed. Shouldn't be hitting his driver right now.

Good work Tiger. Right back to even for the round. Dude NEEDS to stop using the Driver right now.

What about all the good drives he's hit?

Putter has cost him more today, should he ditch that? ;-)

No, he needs to hit it more, particularly in the non-majors.

You don't do well on the PGA Tour or in majors when you just "don't hit driver."

You can't simultaneously say Tiger needs to play more and say he can't hit driver when it's not going well. He needs the practice with the driver if he's ever going to hit it well.

So much for the top half. Still time tomorrow though. I mean, if Jason freaking Bohn can shoot 61 out there, certainly Tiger could do the same... ...right?

    • Well, I have a 2 hybrid, 4 hybrid and then play 6 iron onwards.  My best clubs are probably the 4 hybrid and the PW.  What I find is that loft is your friend in general which is why my 4 hybrid is so much better than my 2 hybrid.  Definitely disproportionately more so than the 5 or so degrees of difference in loft.  If you have hybrids, play them.  And consider loft as your friend.  Invariably you will get up to a loft where anything less will not get you more distance because of your club head speed.  Essentially the faster you swing the less lofted a club you can hit effectively.  For me it is probably a 4 hybrid and maybe a 7 iron though I could improve both with practice
    • Off to my home state of Massachusetts this morning. 9 this afternoon,  18 tomorrow,  and 18 on Saturday. Hoping for some good scores but will be just happy playing with good friends.
