Played 9 holes Shot a +4 with a triple on the second hole. I played clank the ball off the trees trying to play a very difficult escape shot.

I did a bit of warm-up this morning, working on my transition before the round. But I've missed so many days in July already, and it really showed in my round today. I played poorly (by my standards). Now I see why it's so important to at least do some practice daily. A few years ago, I would have chalked this up to inconsistency, but today, I can really feel it's the effect of not practicing.

1/2 hour studying LSW at 0500 then 0800 range time 1700 league night. (PRACTICE WITH PURPOSE - Completed the back side last evening that was stopped for lightening the night before and parred 6 holes in except for 18, par 5, that I birdied. Playing the back tonight.)

7/20/15: After an okay first round of the club championship... (Shot 89)... I hit it good Sunday but missed 5 putts inside 3 feet... (2 on 1 Hole)... The pins were on knobs, I didn't know they were going to do that (I was on the tournament committee)... Shot 101 on day two,(had 2 blow up holes)... I was more worried about running the tournament, than playing it though.... Worked on putting super fast greens today had, Mike TRIPLE Roll the practice green, boy were they quick...

      Imma throw a dart in the dark as no one can tell what is happening once every fourth iron shot per your OP. This might sound counterintuitive but if ball position is too far back in the stance folks are known to throw down clubhead steeply. Could be happening. And yes, @billchaois not wrong; clubhead tends to bottom out wherever your pressure is. So slide forward (not sway), then hit.

      Day 24: Missed my weekly round due to a last minute little league makeup game this morning. Managed to get in some backswing rehearsals while grilling sausages for dinner, and then putted around the office/laundry room after dinner.

      but I don't understand how that's possible you still want your head to stay back you don't want the upper body coming forward and plus I've tried feeling that and it made my fat shots worse and I then tend to pull and sky all my shots especially with driver because I get in front of it dont need force plates to see i finish on my left side
